2-3 weeks back the bike went over a pothole and the rear alloy got bent.
to the SVC blah blah blah. . . alloy has been changed but I noticed an oil weep from the engine block.
The two round seals on the right side of engine were leaking oil. Very slight but yes it was there.
I got it checked in a different SVC and he said it is normal.
Now, previous weekend I washed my bike and since then there is no leak or weep or anything. I looked in the oil screen and the oil is in the middle of min and max mark. Coolant level is also constant. There are no oil or coolant marks anywhere
After a ride to office, I see that there are lots of bubbles in the engine oil but there is no change in oil color and the bubbles vanish after an hour or so. When the bike is running, I can't see any oil ( I think this is normal ?)
I am suspecting the SVC earlier topped my engine oil and the excess just wept through the seal ?? Yes, no, any idea ?
    Busy finding peace

Nothing to worry. what you experienced is all normal. you will not see any oil in the sight glass when engine is running.
That little weep was from the valve cover gasket, some cases it 'stops' by itself and in most cases the fix is the remove the cover, apply gasket sealant and put it back. The weep is too little to cause any issues. You could get it fixed at your next service. It has nothing to do with the quantity of oil filled, its just that that particular area is prone to a weep on 90% of the 390's and to a lesser extent on the 200's.
The workshop manual clearly specifies that the gasket sealant must be used on the valve cover gasket but I fail to understand why this is not being done at the factory itself! Your svc will fix it for free if its under warranty and it's a simple repair.

        Third Service Update-

Got my Black Beast serviced on Wednesday, 16th Nov.
This is the the 3rd Free service which as per the manual had to happen at 240 days from the date of sale of the bike, thus got it serviced.

Since I had just done 3000 kms from my previous service in August, got the following things done.

        1- Engine Oil topup 300ml
        2- Oil Filter change
3- Chain Cleaning/Lubing(since i Carried my own Chain Cleaner and Lube did not cost me in the final bill.)
        4- Other Consumables

Total Hit to the pocket- INR 502.

Ownership is good till now, even after 8k kms done in touring mostly, can say everytime I ride it, puts a Smile on my face.

Now that the free services is over, will be heading to the service only on Kms based and not time basis.
        Hero Honda Dawn-2009-2011
        Hero Honda CBZ Xtreme-2011-2017
        KTM Duke390 2016- till now

At-least follow the time/recommended interval until the 2 yr warranty to keep the warranty valid. I know it might pinch your pocket a bit if you don't clock as many km, but it's a very small price to pay to keep the warranty valid. It might just pay for itself if you need any major part replacement like say a radiator fan etc..

Relax man. there is nothing 'wrong' with the coolant level. go back and read thru this thread (and the 390) to understand about such 'non-issues' and how the cooling system works and such topics which have been discussed and answered earlier.
Just top up the coolant close to max and you are good to go.

                Hi friends..
My new duke has 2700 kms odo..

                1. In normal day riding, some times when i change the gear by pressing the clutch lever.. i feel "tuck" sound and a feel in hand like hitting the clutch lever nicely with some metal..is it because of lower rpm i did in particular gears than recommended?
(when i do high (speed)way riding.. i dont notice such thing.. is it because of slow riding in city? anyone else having such feel?)
                2. Now service intervals are increased.. can i stick to kms instead of days over the date of purchase? guess..it ll void the warranty?
                3. Whats the lowest speed we can maintain in 6th gear without harming the engine?
                4. I am following this thread from long time even when i owned my 200 NS for couple of years.. I have read somewhere in the forum that people suggested few alternate rear view mirrors for duke.. but i am not able to find it now..
so please suggest me any rear view mirrors for duke 390...
will 200 NS mirror's thread and all fit duke 390?

                  1. It's all about Rev matching. It comes with practice. Right gear at right time does not make any sound. Except for 1st, which is loud.

                  2. Yes, it will void warranty. Go with recommended time interval until the warranty is over.

                  3. I personally feel it is above 70 to 75 depending on the load.

                  4. Sorry, no idea.

(when i do high (speed)way riding.. i dont notice such thing.. is it because of slow riding in city? anyone else having such feel?) That's pretty normal and happens sometimes. Learn to Rev-match if you can.

                      2. Now service intervals are increased.. can i stick to kms instead of days over the date of purchase? guess..it ll void the warranty? Well, you can stretch a month or two. All depends on the SVC. I go to the service center only for fuel filter changes and they're fine with it since I service the bike myself.

                      3. Whats the lowest speed we can maintain in 6th gear without harming the engine? I generally suggest 90 with LOAD otherwise engage 6th only at 100. You'll notice the engine shudder while accelerating hard from 90 onwards in 6th. This doesn't happen if its above 100.
Personally, I find the 390 feel at home when kept above 5000rpm in the last 3 gears.

Move the stalks outwards or install extenders.

Ya bro even i noticed the same.. 6th gear above 105 kmph works smoothly.. I just did 500 km round trip.. some time shifted 6th gear two early around 85/90kmph then it struggled a bit.

Yes. And you can use rubber boot from stock mirror to enhance look.
