not sure about power parts (which i guess cost a bomb anyway)
for hazard light functionality, there are two desi guys that sell a hazard flasher module that is a plug and play and controlled by the stock indicator switch.

Can somebody suggest a good sticker shop in Bengaluru where I can get WP decals stickered on the forks?

Also, where can I get those WP decals? I see them on 200s and I really like them.

Yea if it's a power part it ll be around 6-7k

The second one looks promising and has more features like. DRL, more patterns, auto hazard lights etc and slightly cheaper.

Have seen a video on YouTube and installation seems to be DIY. I don't remember the guy using any extra switches as well.

Looks same like the one from the Amazon link shared by Shyam Cmr some posts back. It's price is around 600 there and 1150 is just too costly for this. Basically, all these are imported from China and they sell by setting up their own brand name and for ridiculous price. I rather buy from AliExpress and wait as this is not too critical accessory to have. The cheapest one I came across on Aliexpress is for 300Rs http://s.aliexpress.com/JJ7Fnqyq. Same thing is sold for 900rs on ebay.in. But the Amazon link shared by Shyam Cmr was priced competitively and looked better than other posting. One can buy from there if the requirement is urgent.

                  Only 2 was remaining & I ordered 1. So still 1 remaining.

Yea it's better to buy in Aliexpress than spending double the price.

I am taking my D390 for first service tomorrow at KTM selaiyur (Chennai). The bike has done 850 kms thus far. I am planning to go for 0W-20 or 5W-30 full synthetic oil. Some insights from the users on these oil grades and oil brands will be helpfull.

xBhpians from chennai - Are the above grade oils available with the SVC? Or Do i have to get it outside? If so please suggest a place.

AFAIK you don't need to say anything they ll use recommended oil.

Somehing like MOTUL 2100/7200 not sure about numbers. Read somewhere in forum that if we ask for an better grade oil they ll go for an better oil with a slight premium price.

And this is from user manual

Why would you want to put 20W or a 30W oil when the company recommendation is 50W? That too in Chennai heat!!!! If this was recommended by a mechanic then NEVER EVER go to him... If this was recommended by a friend then NEVER EVER take motorcycle advice from him...

Now... high performance engines require a thicker grade oil to cope with the heat. You can use 0W-50, 5W-50, 10W-50, 15W-50, 20W-50... Read up on oil grades and what it means. Understand the technicality of it and how it affects the engine and then make a decision. Till then you are better of with Motul 7100 15W-50 and stick to the recommended change interval or use Motul 300V 15W-50 if you ride on track and change it every 2500Km.

In layman terms, lower the first number, better performance in cold. Higher the second number, better performance in hotter conditions. Specially for places in Chennai where temperature is never low (like 0C or 5C), does not make sense to go for 0W or 5W. 15W-50 or 10W-40 at the least is required and don't go any graders lower than 40. 5W-50 would be the best one but it's no where available.

Rajithcherian, your question is completely genuine. Why would someone do something that the OEM does not recommend? Well, OEMs always dont do justice to their products completely, because they have the devil of COST in front of them. SO even if they find a better solution to a problem, they will consider only if it is viable cost wise.
                              Let me explain you somethings,

First, the ambient temperature here in chennai (rather a moderate one) plays a minimal role on engine oil's performance. (MSIL recommends 0W-20 for Celerio, here in India)

Second, OEMs choose their oil grades based on how low they can go without breaking their bank.(Engine oil is also kind of one of the spares for your product, no OEM will put a bigger price tag on it)

Third, I do agree that high performance engines require a thicker grade oil. But if you know the perfect balance (i.e the lowest viscosity with which your engine will still work normal) you will want to go to a lower viscosity as it reduces friction to a great extent.

Fourth, In most modern engines, the heat produced by the engine affects the oil viscosity only to a certain level. It all depends on the hydrocarbon composition of the oil, rather than the viscosity itself.

The above points are from my limited knowledge with engines. Would like to hear from experts and correct my understanding.

Hope I can take a butt in here.

The way cars deal with its engine oil is totally different than how a motorcycle oil is utilizing its engine oil. To give you a perspective, engine oil itself is an art in motion, the right oil gives you best performance. PERIOD. A car uses a separate oil for transmission, and engine uses separate engine oil, and the like. The shear, the stress, the heat, a motorcycle engine puts the engine oil means the engine oil has to be cope, the torture and each motorcycle oil stress points are unique. Gone are the days with engines with 6 to 7 compression ratio where even crude oil would mean these engines would chug along happily.

With modern engines compression ratio upwards of 10 and 12 especially the Duke at 12, the heat generated is so intense, given the chance you can melt your pistons just due to engine heat. That's why a manufacturer recommends thicker grade oil, thicker the oil, means the more oil resists to thinning. Think of Dalda and butter, heat them in a tawa put them both, which melts fast, butter or dalda? Everyone knows Dalda takes time, just to give you an example.

There is a catch here, too thick an oil too can hinder your engine performance and starve your engine during cold rides, or during that start up and running phase. Jesus I can go on and on.

Keeping the dog in the kennel, stick to what the manufacturer suggested grade. 15w50 is what is recommended for KTM. You can opt for 0w50 10w50 15w50 or 20w50 (provided you get those) but the number after W should always be the same, in our case 50. The lesser the number BEFORE W (5w 10w) the better it's during cold starts. The number after W shouldn't be compromised.

PM me if you require any more assistance.

                                Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                                The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                                THE END
