Begumpet and LB Nagar are same dealer (Sidhi Vinayaka). You must have checked with other financiers and showrooms.

I own a D200, and have ridden on the mrf revz c (old model) for 14k km and now running the michelin pilot street for the past 11k km. I also briefly rode a 200 shod with the c1's and it was just as good.
The revz is a tire well worth the money (both front and rear), and the c1 is good enough (correct speed rating) for the 390's as well. The michelin 150/60 seems to have slightly bigger contact patch/harder compound (the tire wear on my 11k run michelin looks like a 6k run mrf revz!)
Coming to the grip in wet, I don't see any significant difference between the two. and in the wet rider skills plays a more important part, so i don't buy the 'reviews' some guys put up saying M is better than M in wet.
I'd say save some money and get yourself the revz c1 (and live with the similar headaches as a metz wrt punctures). If you tour a lot, then get the michelin's.
MRF is not at all suitable for 390. 390 will tear apart and life expectancy will be much less. Only MRF i liked was on First version of R15. Rest all were pretty average.

Metz is obvious best choice followed by Michelin.

Metz come with 2 rating now a days (H and W) with H being cheaper of two but still more than Michelin.

Michelin is good tire. And it does not come in Hard compound. Since sidewall is bit on higher side, bike will feel little more comfortable than on Metz.

The 'new' (mrf revz c1 released last year, but availability is better now.) MRF is suitable for the 390 and comes with the right speed rating. The earlier one which came on the 200's (i.e. revz c) is the one that shouldn't be used on the 390 ,especially if you do high speed riding.
Now even the 200's come with the revz c1 as stock.
The life expectancy on the mrf will be lower than michelin, but a little more than the metz. So this combined with it's price & performance, is a very good balance.
The michelin 150/60 definitely feels like a slightly harder (not hard per se) compound than mrf and it takes a bit more time to warm up.

Maybe because a lot of people have not used it, it's not easily available, it cost's more..
We are a price sensitive market and a lot of folk can't afford to plonk in expensive tires the 390 comes with wonderful metz but a lot of people go in for a cheaper replacements.

Perfect answer. I for one would like to try on the rosso 2. I heard it is the perfect balance between Metz and Mich.
Recently the rear alloy bent so the rear tyre and the rim were changed. Will have a good chance to replace both the front and rear to rosso2

But, if u run on bad roads, I don't think the Metzelers or Rosso ii's will make much sense. I have found it the hard way with 2 holes in my Metzeler's within 6.5k kms. Metzelers and Pirelli's are soft compound tires made for european conditions and not for Indian roads. So, unless ur in metros, I don't think buying these tires make much sense. Moreover, the tire repairs would make the tires unsafe as well as destroy the balance of the bike itself like induced handlebar vibrations, etc.
I myself was thinking of buying the Rosso ii's for quite some time. But, now I think the tried & tested Michelins will be a much better choice for our Indian roads. So, beware before buying such soft compound tires. European/ US conditions and mindsets, both infrastructure as well as cultural, economic, etc are very different from our Indian conditions.[emoji16] [emoji16]

                  2. Does it have a kick start?
                  3. What other locks (apart from Ignition/Handlebar) are provide as standard fitment? - Seat/Storage/helmet holding?
                  4. I believe there is no choke, right?
                  5. Does it have a side stand warning or a fail safe?

Would appreciate if some 2016 owners would give me a quick answer.
I am doing a little research on how features are changing between traditional and contemporary offerings.
Just one point I'd like to make though is there is auto-choke. Since the system is computerized, occasionally you might see idle RPM go a little higher and get steady. This happens after a prolonged non usage of the vehicle or when the climate is really cold. It really isn't auto choke per se, but the FI system justraises the RPM just a wee bit and then idles it back to normal, which is completely normal.

Purely because one, pricing, secondly practical usability on our crater ridden roads, thirdly life. Metz, and Pirelli Diablo series have very less life compared to MPS setup. For now, Michelin has taken the biking community by storm and for a good reason. They are comparatively cheap, economical and services the purpose, not to forget the MRFs too.

                  Cheers!

Don't know exactly. But, just a week back I ran out of gas in the middle of the road and the exact error appeared on screen. Never seen it since after I filled petrol.

                          2) i read yesterday that 390 is a octane machine. due to quality of petrol it cannot with stand more than 30,000 km's in India

3)i am paying EMI 15000 per month for this bike which is 65% of my salary can i expect first year of my bike with out any repair.

First read the owners manual. It will mention the service interval. The older duke (pre nov 2014) had one service (i think the third free service) which had only a 90 day interval. So refer the owners manual for correct information.
The first service is at 45 days/1000km and second is 7500km or 120 days since first. So for example, if you do your first service on the 45th day @ 800km then the next service will be at 8300km/120days since last service (which ever is earlier). I don't think ktm has further extended the service interval.

If you take normal care of the bike, it should easily do more than 30,000km on the fuel that's available in India.
Your paying X amount as emi doesn't make a difference to the machine. It is a machine and there is a chance something might go wrong. The warranty will cover the mechanical breakdown's and not damage caused by you (accidents etc..)

So yeh, if you stop listening to the 'experts' (octane machine )and simply follow the manual and service recommendations, it should be good.

Sad to hear that. Ask them to apply sealant. It would fix it.
