    This is pure shot in the dark...but was the wiring loom going to the ECU containing the wires of the fan and the abs unit??? Could be they check ur wiring for a shortened wire to the abs pump??? 🤔🤔

      It was the radiator fan cable and one other cable which had a cut beneath the taping causing the shot. I will get the bike tomorror after all inspection wash and polish. I really hope theres no work left now. Coz the wrap and ride decals will be installed and after that i dont wanna leave the bike at svc as they might damage it

          Am glad too but I really hope the reliability is intact as am doing a mumbai rajasthan mumbai trip in october.

              Well, exactly as I predicated. So, murtaz, what I think was you might know, the fan's wiring is encapsulated in a black sheath, I think the wires frayed at the exact point where is male connector gets connected (from the stock loom), which in turn caused the short, I guess that either one should have shorted/grounded or both the positive and negative should have frayed causing excess draw, you never know. I wonder what the "other" wire was. Let us know if you can get any more information. Good luck.

                Will check tomorrow which the other wire was but yes the shot happened beneath the tank area somewhere.

                  See is very simple, the EFI sends a voltage to the relay , this relay then contacts the fuse ground to it's supply and the fan runs. The switching on and off the fan is a function of the relay via the EFI , now may be the wiring to the fan after the relay is fit together with rest of the wiring and is getting short as u mentioned. This however shouldn't happen and is clearly a case of poor workshop repair. Do check if at past any wiring repairs are done? The Ktm factory wiring loom will come defect free ....as if it wasn't the case, then we would hear multiple such complaints. Keep updating us.

                    Well i wasn't able to get the info as to which wire had a cut but nonetheless got the bike back and everything is perfect now. Only thing am left wondering about is the front and rear suspension and a thud noise from the rear end in potholes.

                    Front and rear suspension. Well i find then too hard probably because i have always owned pulsars which have way softer suspension setup coz the svc guys mentioned that the suspension is completely ok front and rear.

                    Whenever the bike enters a pothole theres a thud noise which am guessing is from the rear mudguard and num plate. Will get that fixed today.

                    Meanwhile got my riding gear as follows

                    Cramster knee guards
                    Rynox rampage pro gloves

                      2017 Duke adjustable lever update.

                      Went to the Svc today. Insanely enough the brake side lever does cost 1829/- on its own without master cylinder. The MC is sold separately and costs 2960/- both prices are without GST.

                      I read somewhere that the 2017 MC is bigger and better than the old model ones. Is this true and would there be an improvement in the braking if installed with the old caliper setup.

                      Asking as lots of ppl internationally have tried b
                      brembo and other bigger MC setups and claimed an improvement in the braking of the bike. Thanks.

                        On a separate note. Going to get the replacement speedometer installed today. Fingers crossed its not a lemon like the 1st one

                          Ridiculous! I wonder why the big price difference between the clutch and brake lever. Dashed my hopes of installing one. I too asked my svc about price and he told me 1800, I dint believe him and asked him to show Me the part.. They dint have it in stock. Thanks for clearing up the price mystery.
                          It probably would win the award for the costliest brake lever on an Indian made motorcycle

                              Yeah its probably infused with some rare material like dragonglass (GOT fan reference) to bring up the cost by so much.
