Recently purchased the adjustable levers for Dominar, but doesn't fit. Is this the type for Duke 390 2017?

    Cheers.

Are you running on stock coolant so far?
Is yours the new Duke 390?

I've the old one. I've been using MOTOCOOL XPERT available on Amazon India for 400+ rs or so. If you want to change your coolant totally then you've to flush the lines and drain the old coolant. If your bike is new, its okay. If it isn't you need to flush the lines, and there's a proper procedure for that. Please answer the questions that I've asked so that I can answer rest of your questions.

          Coolant replacement procedure
          1-Warning
Danger of,scalding During motorcycle operation, the coolant gets very hot and is under pressure.
Do not remove the radiator cap. Radiator hoses or other cooling system components when the engine is hot. Allow the
engine and cooling system to cool down. In case of scalding. Rinse immediately with lukewarm water.
          Warning
Danger of, poisoning Coolant is poisonous and a health hazard.
Coolant must not come into contact with the skin, eyes, or clothing. If contact occurs with the eyes, rinse with water imme-
          diately and contact a physician.
Immediately clean contaminated areas on the skin with soap and water. If coolant is swallowed, contact a physician immediately. Change clothing that is contaminated with coolant. Keep coolant out of reach of
          children.

          Remove screw 1.
          Remove the radiator cap.
          Completely drain the coolant.
Mount screw O with a new seal ring and tighten it.
          Guidelines-
          Remove radiator cap ,
          Open bleeder screw (2),
Tilt the vehicle slightly to the right.
Pour in the coolant till it emerges out without bubbles at the bleeder screw, and then mount and tighten the bleeder screw with proper torque.
Rest the vehicle on the side stand.
Start the ensine and let it run warm.
Stop the engine and allow it to cool down.
When the engine is cool, check the coolant level in the radiator and, if necessary,
          add coolant.
Remove the cap of the compensating tank and fill up coolant till it's at the max Mark,
Fix back the coolant cap of the compensating tank and fit the spoiler back.

          The engine is cold.

          – Stand the motorcycle upright on a horizontal surface.
          – Remove the cap of the compensating tank 1.
          – Check the coolant antifreeze.

          −25… −45 °C (−13… −49 °F)

          – Correct the coolant antifreeze.
          – Check the coolant level in the compensating tank.

the radiator fan is the culprit. Is it true ? Bike is 2years old and has clocked ~10k kms .
If after servicing the bike you feel the temperature warning pops up constantly. Firstly, check the coolant level in your motorcycle, secondly, check if the fan kicks in the right temperature. Low coolant, faulty thermostat and a faulty fan all can induce high temperature readout on the dash. Start with coolant, check your coolant level in radiator and then observe if the fan kicks in at the right temperature bar and see how it fares. It should be between the three.

If you are specifically looking into LEDs you have lots sold online at cheaper price. Though you'd have to make a workaround the for the clamps themselves on where you'd want to install them on the motorcycle.

Request suggestions from the experts on the following:Exact modifications (ECU and Exhaust or may be ECU only if thet does the trick).

Approximate expense of such modifications (Material + Labor)
Where the materials can be procured from? Is there any plug & play kind of gadget available? What are the best brands?
Any reliable garage recommended in Kolkata who can do such a job.

              :
Coolant level was above min and fan used to kick in but it was not that effective. Buzzing sound had gone down and even i thought that fan might be the culprit. Got it replaced and no problems of high temperature now.

              Guys,

My airbox has developed a crack and what would be the cost for replacing it ?

I reckon you've changed your radiator fan? The air box costs approximately Rs. 2700, add in taxes it can shoot upto 2900 rupees, plus labor and what not.

                Cheers!

Yes VJ , radiator fan was replaced.

Have they increased the quality of the new air boxes ? If not it's of no use going for a new one and instead I ll try some jugaad and get the cracks sealed. May be using plastifix

Incidentally, late year end 2015/2016 too do crack, I guess it's partly due to the vibrations induced by the motor. I'd suggest you change it once and if repeated, you can use plastic sealants even M-Seal works and touch it up with a little black paint, you're set.

                    Cheers!

Yesterday I contacted couple of service centres and they were not having the stock so today I went ahead with the jugaad since I do not want water seeping inside the airbox due to heavy rains here in Bangalore.

Secondly, usually a botched up first engine job is the preceding factor for more mechanical failures and leads to consecutive repair jobs, and in your case it's only aggravated by incompetent mechanics. Which part exactly is the oil leak from the bike? What I'd suggest is pressure wash the bike cleanly and inspect the area of leak. Check it once again after a ride by making sure is it leaking from the vertical split of the engine or leaking from a completely sealed engine case or clutch or stator cover.

Got bike fully fixed finally at an outside garage referred by a fellow xbhpian. Leaks were through bolts on gear side engine casing. Packing was new, but some shoddy job screwed it up. He said to change the packing, but no stock in Trivandrum or Kochi SVCs, so have to wait till stock comes and change at next oil change. For now fixed with gasket sealant.

Shelled 3.1k total. Included fork overhaul (stock seals+motul fork oil), new cone set (current one was terribly rusted), filter box crack fix plus new air filter, leak fix, rattle fix, new clutch lever (bolt hole oval'd causing severe play, not engaging clutch switch), wash, chain lube, topups. Now running with leaks or rattles or any kind of troubles. Gotta see how things go.

Back home. Belly pan not fixed to check for any more leaks. Plus bolt hole screwed up by SVC, requires tapping to install back.

Appreciate the follow up, deville. I'd also be interested in the arrest of the leak. If you can click a picture of the area of the leak on your motorcycle, would come in handy as to not to be confused with anything other than a gasket or a shot casing treads and what not.

So I have plans to buy the 2017 Duke/RC. I generally drive on open roads and highways (delhi) and nearby areas.
But once in a while, I have to ride on congested roads( 5-20 min of stop/start traffic). I always switch off the engine at red lights (if more than 20 seconds).
And once or twice a month, I need to ride to places like meerut, where it is hard to exceed 35-50kmph almost throughout the journey (100km).
I have two questions- is the heat bearable for such usage? And will it stop in traffic in the conditions I mentioned?

Note that 90 percent of the time I ride on free roads at speeds between 70-110 .
