Got it replaced yesterday and costed INR 243/- . Now I can ride the bike with a peace of mindOriginally posted by B7ACKTHORN View Post
Well, different people have faced different issues, some side stand sensor, some ABS sensor, etc. Probably they'd have hooked your bike to the DIAG TOOL and come to the conclusion that your ROLL OVER sensor is kaput. Get it replaced. It isn't a deal breaker per se, but seeing a warning all the time isn't what a rider wants. It's just that a sensor can go kaput at any point due to n number of reasons, plus these aren't really expensive sensors, so fret not.
Cheers!

Also I need to replace my rear tyre and the current stock metz would come for around 1-2k kms max. I was thinking of Michelin PSR but I am confused with the size because few have gone for 140/60 and few have got 150/60 fitted. I heard that the 150 section tyres will brush the swing arm . Please help!

As far as I know, only Timson 150/60 touches the swingarm.Originally posted by Puneeth max View PostGot it replaced yesterday and costed INR 243/- . Now I can ride the bike with a peace of mind

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Ownership Reviews and Experiences
did they replace only the tb and put back the existing tps and idle control stepper motor ? The TB usually doesn't go bad.. it's either the tps or the idle control stepper motor.Originally posted by Ezilkannan View PostUpdate on the stalling issue: ASC said Throttle body was the culprit and needs to be changed, but it is stalling even after changing the TB assembly. It seems ASC is unable to figure out the problem. If I can't find and fix the issue, I might have to sell it off
Now, try to swap the tps, idle control stepper motor (both these are mounted on the TB) from another bike and check. Also would be a good idea to swap the O2 sensor as well from another bike.
Sometimes cold starting issues (though you say it's idling issues) maybe due to incorrect valve clearances . Might as well get them checked too.

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Ownership Reviews and Experiences
Hello guys,
In have a 2014 Duke 390 which has run around 14000 kilometres..
And I have this weird clanking type sound from inside the engine, which is due to camshaft and rocker arm on one side getting eroded, got it checked and the guy replaced them, but the sound comes back after riding for around 100-200KM's.
It's the fourth time I am getting the sound and have replaced them 3 times, it costs around 4000 every time.
The mechanic at the ASC always says that he has checked everything and the problem is only in the camshaft and rocker arm and replaces those.
Any other part to be replaced?
Or
Any other thing to be done?
Has this happened to anyone else??Built like a bike, goes like a rocket--KTM DUKE 390

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Ownership Reviews and Experiences
I would suggest you check your crank shaft bearings too. A failed or a "failing in the process" bearing too can make weird clatter and sounds inside the engine. Secondly, cam lobes having scores or "eroded" in your case means, poor lubrication to the cam followers and camshafts. If the oil galleys to the head is blocked you will have oil starvation to the valve train and these issues can pop frequently.Originally posted by Arjun555 View PostHello guys,

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Ownership Reviews and Experiences
My stalling issue is now fixed completely. It seems there were two reasons for the stalling, one the throttle body and two very low clutch play. After I adjusted the clutch and set a good enough play, it is no longer stalling now.
Entire tb assembly was changed. idling is now a lot more stable than before.Originally posted by s1d View Postdid they replace only the tb and put back the existing tps and idle control stepper motor ? The TB usually doesn't go bad.. it's either the tps or the idle control stepper motor.

That's great news, Ezil. If you could go back a few pages, to another member, I've mentioned the same note about clutch play adjustment is vital and echoing the same comment here. Usually, the bikes have zero clutch play right from the showroom. Right clutch play is very critical in improving clutch life as well as rideability, especially when it comes to low speed riding and choc a bloc situations. Do observe your bike for a few more kays, and do post your observations if the issue has solved completely.Originally posted by Ezilkannan View PostMy stalling issue is now fixed completely. Re: KTM Duke 390 - Ownership Reviews and Experiences
Hello friends,
I am looking forward to bring back my passion of biking again. I had R15 v2 as my last bike which I sold later on. I am using i20 from last 2years.
Now I want to re start biking because of 2 reasons 1st is distance b/w my home & office is 40kms which is not manageable in this traffic with car & 2nd is my passion of bikes.
My heart purely say to go head with duke 390 but brain says dominor make sense.
I heard there is lot of issues with 2017 duke 390. Has KTM fixed all the issues they had with this model?
Request you guys to throw some lights & suggest me what makes things much strong case to go head with duke on dominor.
