Re: KTM Duke 390 - Owners Reviews and Experiences
May be you guessed it wrong. I was just measuring the maximum the bike could achieve at any point. It was not the average. The maximum I got till date is 40kmpl and somewhat translates into a real 35kmpl. It means the bike is capable of giving 35kmpl, in certain conditions.Originally posted by roy_arnab22 View PostLast edited by junaid12345678; 11-20-2013, 02:35 AM.If you worried about falling off the bike, you'd never get on.

And could you please enquire with them about the upcoming lots and also ask them about the mysterious disappearance of the test drive bike! :POriginally posted by Venkatesh Velmani View PostDid 1000 Kms in 7 days
. Will be taking it for 1st service by tomorrow. As of now, my only concern is the buzzing noise near the visor/console area at 3K RPM. Anyone found a solution yet? I notice that the bike is much smoother now and getting an average mileage of 24 - 26 Kmpl in city (reserve to reserve). Also I noticed that the exhaust sound is a little different now.
Btw, which oil do you guys recommend?

Any update about the vibrations? After my O-ring was changed, I didn't have any more oil leaks. Dunno about the break pad noise :/

Heard of a price hike for the newer lots that are going to reach the showroom. Any similar news from any other showroom areas ? heard this from the Cochin KTM showroom.
Cheers

I got a hint from the TVM showroom that November may witness a price hike. Not a comfirmed news though.Originally posted by krish2778 View PostHeard of a price hike for the newer lots that are going to reach the showroom. A quick Q to all the experienced here. I am sure we all know about ABS in D390. Q is, if you brake hard enough that the ABS kicks in, does your brake lever (front and rear) give you feedback???.... Awaiting your help guys.Bhp is how fast you hit a wall, Torque is how much of that wall you can take with you.

Thanks Shiv
. Also, Do you know anyone who has re-programmed their D390's ECU with MAP-A? i.e., First MAP that was producing 45ps but later they detuned to 43.5ps to avoid power wheelies.

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Owners Reviews and Experiences
I know about Kiirus and their work. But w.r.t D390, this was an original Ktm map. Not from any aftermarket firm. As far I could get the info, its a strict R&D property of Ktm. But then, someone should have having that. My search continuesOriginally posted by Shiv_beam View PostHaven't come across any for D390. But some of our forum members have done on D200. Check the duke 200 thread.

Did you check the air pressure after 170 kms ride ?Originally posted by roy_arnab22 View PostThat's normal for such a huge single cylinder... Nothing out of place.. But you can expect reduction in vibrations after service
BTW the BTM showroom delivered my bike with 40+ tyre pressure... Checked it today aftef riding 170kms...hope no harm to the rubber!

Air pressure generally increases after long rides because of the tyre temperature.

So seems many people have heard the same, so should be true.
Haven't had any handlebar vibrations yet. It's all good up at the top. The footpegs do vibrate..!! But it is fun...like many said, it s a big ass single cylinder engine..it will vibrate..! :-D
