OK so do we have a majority opinion on what oil is best for zmr?
Also I don't understand the difference between synthetic oil and semi synthetic, if someone could throw some light on that.
And I get my oil changed at aprx 2500 to 3000km is that good? Bad? Over enthusiastic?

Wow the sun rays are so bad that it changed the color ?

How come your fairing turned yellow !!!! from white to yellow - wow - i should have bought white and without paying a dime my bike will turn yellow - just joking - but have not you wax your bike at every year ?

Frequent high speed burst and sudden braking is not my riding style - so the damage won't happen , and in term of my karizma maintenance I do this :-

Servicing at every 5000 KM
1. Engine oil change - Motul 10w40 FS 7100 - always the best in my bike - nothing suits better than this.



Will you follow my suggestion. Use veedol 10 w 40 swift. PPerformance of synthetic oil at half price. Drain at 3k kms. Once use and let me know.




2. Spark plug change.

Although its not over doing but you are wasting resources. Usually 10 k is also quick. Spark plug can last 15-18k easily. But 12k is good.


3. Air filter change.



At 8k is more apt. If its viscous filter its 6k.




4. Disk brake pads change - OEM.

SSeriously but why? Overdoing a thing doesn't mean I am good at it. Why change when not worn.


5. Drive chain check .

Its good.


6. Battery clean , charge up , and terminal lube.

No need of charging. Charging on outside charger decreases life of battery.
7. Front and rear axle grease - Motul grease .
Good. But not needed. The bearing is tightly fit over it and thus bearing doesn't slide over it.


Servicing at every Month
1. Drive chain lube and clean and tight .

And still after 10,003 KM - no problem in the terms of - start up and mileage . Loving it.

My mantra:
Cheaper oil and frequent change. 2000-2200 km max.
Air filter change at 8-10k km.
Spark plug change at 12k km.
Chain lube once 2 weeks with grease, clean once a month, except monsoon.
Check air pressure every Friday morning.
No rash riding + usage of engine braking helps prolong brake pads, clutch plates as well as sprockets. Front pads last 15 to 17k km and rear ones were changed at 73k km. Sprockets lasted ~78k km.
Clutch plates were also changed at 78k km.
I'm still running on stock bore piston. As a precautionary measure, I changed piston rings and rocker arms at 78k km (rockers were dancing around).
I change oil seals every 25k km. Drain bolt O ring is changed every alternate oil change.
The bike runs like a charm still now. Fairing has turned yellowish which will be replaced next year.

Sir can you tell me how there is a play ? and how to rectify them ? . If you tell me then in my case if it happens then I will able to rectify it . And how to improve the play !

Done the inspection on my friends Karizma , but everything seems to be in perfect condition , BUT the mechanic got really pissed as why we asked him to do all the inspection . Anyways still the sound is coming from there , its really weird , because every thing is in perfect state but the sound is appearing , in my karizma there is no sound like that !

Find a better mechanic, if there clearly is a sound and if he isn't able to find the reason even after disassembly then it would be best to get a second opinion.

You could try posting an audio clip of the sound so that we may be able to assist better.
