Apart from an RE or a Karizma i haven't found any which fits the proportion but ofcourse I am not going to buy an RE! With all the niggles that it has, no way, I have my heart towards the Continental GT but that's way beyond my budget (yes i am contradicting my statement about REs, but a "CONTINENTAL GT!" damn those looks!) then again 'Budget" brings me back to the reality, Avengers again are too short, so the Karizma is the only option that fits the bill, fortunately or unfortunately.

And as far as the ASCs are concerned, here I have seen quite a few Karizmas zooming around my area, some new some of the late 2014 batch, but they did not have any major problems, I had a heart to heart with an ASC guy and even he said the same, well there were problems like the console not responding on one or two bikes but they were fixed.

I really hope that I don't fall into a sudden bad luck if I finally choose to buy this!

I'll attach a photo for some visualisation.

    Hi mate,

I am too 6.2 feet tall & weight 85KG's. Same dilemma as yours. Bought Pulsar 220 few days ago.

I suggest because as of now, dealerships are having unsold stock of 2014 models only. Unless they clear their existing stock, new 2016 stock will not arrive.

I strongly suggest you try the P220.

    > looks big, stable, masculine.

    > Is comfortable

    > very economical, plenty spare parts available.

    > feature loaded, double disc & powerful headlamps for safety.

    > good resale too

And I don't have any grudges there but the problem area is something else-

I have realized that Hero ASC guys are loosers. They are not good neither analysis and repair nor treating customers. Because of their work I and my bike had some tough time.

Beware not of the bike but the ASCs.

There are vibes but hey, they are nothing in comparison to the REs(I can't imagine riding on a vibrator for miles) . And I don't feel any in fifth gear.

Also a genuine suggestion: zmr/r 2014 are almost 2yrs old models which feel like lot older when compared to some of the other bikes. Don't wait for the newer version from expo. They are repainting the same house again and again.

Keep aside the 'dream bike' feeling and think wisely before you make a decision. Try some more bikes. If you are looking for faired bike because of looks, trust me they have more cons attached. Try naked, it's the new cool.

I took a test ride today, Again! (yes i have test rode it before) and man she feels so good and the posture is so perfect! the vibrations people keep talking about, I cannot be sure if I felt those exact vibes but what ever I felt was a good feeling, those light (dug dug dug) was like her heartbeat, suspensions were butter smooth and that weight vanished as soon as I throttled her out of the showroom, handling is so neutral and intuitive!

So how old is your friend's orange Karizma?

Hi Dipan, well I would not wish for the modifications to be something like that weird looking white-red two-face color Hero had in the Expo, but as Divya Bhai said if there are any engine modifications I can wait.

I like this Car, err Kar-izma as it looks now, plain, simple, robust and to the stock look.

I want the ZMR and If I am not mistaken you have the Karizma R right?
Now Divya bhai did not have a good idea how the present ZMRs are doing, so can you shed a light on that?
Is only the current Rs fixed or are the ZMRs been fixed too?

It was written almost two years back so hard to find it!

Regarding xBhp stickers, pm me your e-mail id and I can send the formats to you(sorry brother, I do not have any extra prints). The logos are in .cdr and .eps vector format. You'll need CorelDraw to open those. If you know any sticker shop, you can get it done from there. Or else, go to Wellington, you'll find one shop who print any kind of stickers(3rd shop in the opposite lane to the petrol pump).

Hi Pro-Rider Divya, No wonder the dealer near my home has a huge stock of karizmas! Stock clearing much?
I guess I will wait for a while and get concrete information before putting a step forward. If I have to I will wait till December! :P

Thanks for the insider news though!

People who got Karizma v2 (carb version) in late 2015 are happy so far (touchwood).

Hey guys, I am new to xbhp, though I have been a non-member follower for quite a while now, and I have read past all of this thread and I am highly fond of the ZMR V2, I had read about Mr Srikanth's brush with camshafts errors and had also read a post by Mr Sibun which said that this all was due to a different vendor and that things have been rectified now.

Now my question is, is the ZMR v2 a good choice to buy now, or does the late 2015 onward batchs of bikes too have this problem? I have long been a Karizma-tic fan and this will be my first ever bike, and considering I am 6feet tall weighing 95Kgs, I feel no other bike is as good as this at this price range.

    Awaiting some informative inputs.

2 days ago, saw a white zimmer with duke's rear blinkers. I couldn't see the mount properly because this guy had also installed a RE tail lamp top bag(I am not kidding). But I had somehow confirmed from him that the blinkers were direct fit then we parted ways.

It would help if that guy was a member of xbhp but I couldn't see any sticker

I was at the Hero Service Center last day.. I saw ZMRs showcased in showroom. Not sure why. But As per the mechanics, ZMR is production was not stopped.. Also, I saw 3 2014 Karizma R which had come for service. They all completed more than 20k kms and the owners said they never faced any issue.. Of course they were not ZMRs. So can't comment.. But one thing I noticed was the amount of plastic body vibrations.. On seeing that, I feel my ZMR has close to nil plastic vibrations..

Good to know I could be of some help!
Please don't call me 'sir'! You can call me Barun da as others in xBhp Kolkata do.

    Calm down Dipan.
xBhp is a mine of resources and you'll definitely find your answer. All you have to do is research and find a little more. There are thousands of posts/threads under several topics. It's very much possible that very few people have actually seen your post and those who have seen it, might not be having the answer. Nobody knows everything. xBhp is not a question-answer site - it's more of a community where like-minded people exchange thoughts and ideas. As in any forum, everybody does not have the same opinion and differences come up. But, at the end of the day, what matters is our love for those two wheels! One day you'll find that you are able to help somebody who is here for maybe 10 years.
Coming to your query a few posts earlier, the best and easiest way to protect any bike/scooter from nature's elements is to cover the bike/scooter with a good cover(you'll find those in Wellington ~ Rs. 240) irrespective of the season. You know how hot and humid summer in Kolkata is. And if water-logging is a problem, try to keep the scooter as high as possible. As far as I know, scooter engines are more suspect to water as the engine and the internals are not enclosed. I have a neighbor who owns a Karizma(older version). He keeps his bike above a concrete slab during monsoon.
