To add to this.. Check the Air Filter condition and replace if required.. Same goes with the Spark plugs...Originally posted by Divya Sharan View PostFirst of all, congratulations and welcome to the Karizma club!
Regarding those issues, get the throttle body and injectors cleaned and you should be good to go.

Hello Everyone!
I just purchased a used ZMR 2014 model. Body condition, tyres, etc., all seems fine. However as I am new to FI bikes I find few things bit strange on this bike.
I am finding throttle response bit jerky at low speeds and also pickup is very low
I owned a 2009 ZMA, never experienced these issues and pickup was fantastic
I would be greatful if someone can help in this regard
Thank you

Re: Hero Karizma ZMR (2014 version)
Hello ! Posting here after a really long time. Own a 2014 ZMR. So in the last few months i had a hanging left indicator, a blown out white light, and recently the right RVM came out of its socket after a auto guy suddenly decided to come towards the left (mirror got stuck near the passenger area, luckily i dint fall).
So i basically panicked after i lost the mirror, as its impossible to ride without the RVMs. That's when the ordeal started. No Dealership/parts shop had a single right side mirror. JC Road guys told me "hero walo ko complain karo sir, ye log parts deliver hi nahi karte hain". That's when i decided to post my complaint online. To my surprise, i received a call within minutes of posting the complaint.
Also, magically the RVM appeared in their storage while the other parts are still not available (they took an order, and decided to close the complaint without asking me)
Anyways am happy i got the RVM.
Meanwhile i also realised this bike uses 2 headlamps for low and high beam (H8's), which are extremely difficult to get and very expensive. Can someone please recommend a very good "upgrade" for the stock lamps.?
Oh and also just to change the "Left side White light" they said the whole left side indicator assembly will have to be changed.
(Rs. 850).. Too much ? Do i have any other options please ? Thanks in advance.

Re: Hero Karizma ZMR (2014 version)
This query should go into the "which bike to buy" section,Originally posted by Dipan12 View PostSecond Help
I am going to buy a new motorbike to add to my garage on this Diwali(too long I know) . Price upto 5 lac. List
Place - Kolkata.
1. Yamaha R 15 v2 - daytona upgrade (dad's choise)
2. Yamaha R3.( second as dad have it on his garage and wanted me to have one too)
3. KTM DUKE 390 ( my choice)
4. KTM RC 390 ( my choice)
5. Kawasaki Ninja 650 ( both choice)
6. Hyosung GT 650 R Comet ( no one choice )
7. Hyosung GV 650 ( same )
8. Harley davidson street 750( both choice , will be importing from delhi).
9. Royal Enfield Continental GT ( dad's choice )
I have excluded Bajaj and Honda and all the RE products except Continental GT - reason is I don't like those brands . Sorry no offence . I have also excluded TVS - their svc are worst and they have no 300cc + bikes and Hero they have not launched the HX250 and the Hastur . So have to go for this option.
Things that matters
1. Sporty/Touring position acceptable as accustomed with Karizma R - no commuter type style riding.
2. I don't need the mileage word - anything above 5-10 km/l is acceptable.
3. I will be driving everyday - 50-100 KM - need to travel fast .
4. Should have the T/Nm to overtake any one .
5. Have to be within 5 lac.
In garage - Bajaj Discover 100M (100cc) , Hero Maestro 2012 (110cc) , Hero Karizma R (223cc) - next 300+ cc .
Guys need help , as I will be confirming with my dad for the money .

Anyhow for speed power torque comfortability and reliability and wide service network R3 should be the perfect choice.
You won't need anything more than this on Indian roads for high speed overtakes.
RC390 is too sporty.
And HD 750 is a cruiser, so you won't get the sporty cruising angle. Also limited Service Centres.

Re: Hero Karizma ZMR (2014 version)
New problem/sound :-
Whenever I try to move the handlebar to the left side it sounds like squeaking - not metal to metal - One day i was adjusting the cables on the right and side , there too the squeak sound was there but with little adjustment the sound was off for few minutes but again is resurfaced - any highlight ? - the sound does not appear while turning the handle to right hand side .
