Well I will be taking a tour on the month of nov - at that time I will PM you about the address.
why go ask them for replacement RVM for your bike.. just go ask them for it.. If they ask for which bike, say a CBR250R..

No, you are not harming your bike in any way that sounds like a good method to follow if you ask me.. But please do give those less used Brake pads to the needy

He mentioned it a couple of pages back. Sounds like OCD to me. My pads last more than 20k km and I ride the same way as he does/says!

Ok, let's chuck it. Since you want to get a pair of RVMs, head to Honda ASC. Ask them for CBR 150R or 250R RVMs. They both have compatible RVMs which are a direct fit. They are longer by 7 mm on each side. Else, if you're free you can ride to Bhubaneshwar/Cuttack during a weekend and get RVMs from Hero. Spares are available off the shelf.

Your response has certainly changed with time.
I asked you the same here - http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/motorcyc...ml#post1217819

You replied something else then. That response is deleted but I can still see them. You said - it causes issues in traffic and used to get scratched. Hence you removed them away.

Therefore, we based our responses upon that fact. Please don't get offended for no reason.

Sounds like you are getting offended.. How are you so sure he was calling you a show off? AFAIK, anyone not using a RVM in the intended way is a Show off.. I have seen people use RVMs facing their tummy ( I have no idea why and i Heard that was some trend) and then people remove RVMs thinking it spoils their image.. as what people tend to see is, people who use RVMs are seen as idiots who don't know how to drive a car or ride a bike.. Again this is called show off.. I feel DS was being Generic and not specific to you

Edit - So you mean to say, your bike never came with RVMs??

Dipan12 - Did I read zero clutch play? Does it mean play in the cabke or lever?
rreneav1987, no point asking for it brother. I have said the same in the past, but got the lamest possible reason for it being absent.
People spend useless amounts of money on showoff but lack the basic safety sense.

Your drain pipe is twisted. Removing tank is inevitable.

Remove the tank. (disconnect fuel meter socket, fuel pipe)

There is a drain pipe connected below the tank. pull it out.

Check if pipe is twisted/choked. Try to smoothen it out or buy new one.

Insert the pipe & route it carefully from tank till bottom without choking the line.

And about the DIY in case of engine oil - here is the link

And about changing the air filter your bike - here is the link

And about changing the brake pads - here is the link - the bike is rtr - but the procedure is same on our karizma

And about changing the brake oil - here is the link - rtr bike - same procedure - USE DOT 4 Castrol

And about spark plug and Battery change that can be done easily - if you want DIY I can tell you

Wow those links help a lot.. Sure thing.
    Thanks a lot again 😀😀😀😀

    ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

And secondly do not ask the SVC to put Motul in your machine - because they won't have it , and in some cases if you force them them will partially throw away the old oil - simply if you know how to change the oil then DIY or go to any local mechanic and he will do it -haven't you saw the words in my previous post - that one of the mechanic of hero told me never to come to any svc of hero . Now its your decision .
Yes I read your post but I have zero clue how to DIY. As far as why 30 over 40, I think the manual says 30.. No other reason. But in any case thanks

So thanks a lot for a complete explanation. Really nice of you. Having read this and having a odo read of aprx 9000 km I think my next oil change will be a 10/30 motul. Till now it was always replaced in the free services so I didn't have a say, now I'll get them to put what I say ( which I know thanks to you guys)

    That statement is incorrect.

Honda actually recommends using 20W40 engine oil in Karizma engine manual.

But to increase rev-ability & acceleration, Hero suggested using 10W30 oil, which was implemented in India.

Conclusion: It is absolutely safe (and also recommended) to use 20W40 engine oil.
