why go ask them for replacement RVM for your bike.. just go ask them for it.. If they ask for which bike, say a CBR250R..Originally posted by Dipan12Brother you have no IDEA how cruel HONDA SVC are in Kolkata - they are @#!@$@%$#^$%&%^ . I have asked about it during the first breakdown of the RVM - their asnwer

" EKHANE ASAR KI ACHE HERO R KACHE JAN , ETA HONDA , HERO R MOTON CHOR COMPANY NOI "
In english - " why have you came here , we always sell honda parts of honda bikes , if you can't find your parts just sell it , but please do not come here and ask this type of silly question "
Well I will be taking a tour on the month of nov - at that time I will PM you about the address.
No, you are not harming your bike in any wayOriginally posted by Dipan12Call me OCD / or by any other name - the moral is I won't change my service method . Look I am like this but answer me one thing - am I harming my bike in any other way ?.
that sounds like a good method to follow if you ask me.. But please do give those less used Brake pads to the needy

He mentioned it a couple of pages back. Sounds like OCD to me. My pads last more than 20k km and I ride the same way as he does/says!Originally posted by Chandan92 View PostWhy disc pads was changed so early? At 5.5k kms it's too soon to change it.

Re: Hero Karizma ZMR (2014 version)
Ok, let's chuck it. Since you want to get a pair of RVMs, head to Honda ASC. Ask them for CBR 150R or 250R RVMs. They both have compatible RVMs which are a direct fit. They are longer by 7 mm on each side. Else, if you're free you can ride to Bhubaneshwar/Cuttack during a weekend and get RVMs from Hero. Spares are available off the shelf.Originally posted by Dipan12and in case of cbr - same case ,

Really? Are you sure about that?Originally posted by Dipan12and in case of cbr - same case ,
Ah man!! Sounds to me like you don't know to ride in trafficOriginally posted by Dipan12Have I ever told that it has not came ! it was there at the exact 1229 KM after the RVM broke I have to order a new one , and while divya pointed out - yes I have took the RVM off again (the new one) , but after reading the post I put it back on , and at again at 4609 KM it got broked again on and this time only one broked - Right side - so I have to take it away , NOW at present I have the left side and not the right side.
I still use my stock left side RVM.. right from 2010 Feb till now and my 2nd Right side RVM

Re: Hero Karizma ZMR (2014 version)
Your response has certainly changed with time.Originally posted by Dipan122. No RVM - no stock in HERO SVC - for about 4 months - same colour - AND I AM NOT SHOWING OFF OK !
I asked you the same here - http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/motorcyc...ml#post1217819
You replied something else then. That response is deleted but I can still see them. You said - it causes issues in traffic and used to get scratched. Hence you removed them away.
See below.
Therefore, we based our responses upon that fact. Please don't get offended for no reason.

Re: Hero Karizma ZMR (2014 version)
Sounds like you are getting offended.. How are you so sure he was calling you a show off? AFAIK, anyone not using a RVM in the intended way is a Show off.. I have seen people use RVMs facing their tummy ( I have no idea why and i Heard that was some trend) and then people remove RVMs thinking it spoils their image.. as what people tend to see is, people who use RVMs are seen as idiots who don't know how to drive a car or ride a bike.. Again this is called show off.. I feel DS was being Generic and not specific to youOriginally posted by Dipan12AND I AM NOT SHOWING OFF OK !
Edit - So you mean to say, your bike never came with RVMs??

Dipan12 - Did I read zero clutch play? Does it mean play in the cabke or lever?
rreneav1987, no point asking for it brother. I have said the same in the past, but got the lamest possible reason for it being absent.
People spend useless amounts of money on showoff but lack the basic safety sense.Last edited by Divya Sharan; 04-12-2016, 11:46 AM.

Originally posted by Dipan12This is urgent - i washed my bike today but found water beside thefuel drainage hole . The water was not passi g by the drain hole . It is clogged . How to unclogged it . Karizma r 2015 model.
Your drain pipe is twisted. Removing tank is inevitable.
Remove the tank. (disconnect fuel meter socket, fuel pipe)
There is a drain pipe connected below the tank. pull it out.
Check if pipe is twisted/choked. Try to smoothen it out or buy new one.
Insert the pipe & route it carefully from tank till bottom without choking the line.

Re: Hero Karizma ZMR (2014 version)
Wow those links help a lot.. Sure thing.Originally posted by Dipan12OK I got your idea about using 10w30 over 40 - but it might not be helpful for your bike , and secondly every hero bikes and scooter are said to be used 10w30 - now let us use our common sense -- in case of scooter and 125 cc category - using 10w30 is ok as this machines are not build for speed (except KTM duke 125) but above 125 cc - 150 , 200 , 223 , 300 etc - all are required to use 10w40/10w50(pulsar) because using this category oil your bike internal temp will remain under control and also your engine won't feel rough in traffic to traffic condition - and using 10w40 is a all round oil for all the year , it is my request to use 10w40 as earlier in the past the original manual of Karizma 2003 endition - premium sports supports the 20w40 grade and in the year round of cosmetic change and increase of power of karizma engine the internal have remained the same - so going by the past formation using 20w40 or for better cold start 10w40 is recommended instead of 10w30 , its your wish - if you want to run your machine for about 1 lac or more KM then use the 10w40 but if you have in your mind like using the bike only for couple of years then go by you choice.
And about the DIY in case of engine oil - here is the link
And about changing the air filter your bike - here is the link
And about changing the brake pads - here is the link - the bike is rtr - but the procedure is same on our karizma
And about changing the brake oil - here is the link - rtr bike - same procedure - USE DOT 4 Castrol
And about spark plug and Battery change that can be done easily - if you want DIY I can tell you

Thanks a lot again 😀😀😀😀

Re: Hero Karizma ZMR (2014 version)
Yes I read your post but I have zero clue how to DIY. As far as why 30 over 40, I think the manual says 30.. No other reason. But in any case thanksOriginally posted by Dipan12Thank you for getting understood , and also thank you for choosing Motul over other brands , but I have one question in my mind - Why are you choosing 10w30 5100 instead of 10w40 7100 ?
----consecutive posts auto-merged-----
And secondly do not ask the SVC to put Motul in your machine - because they won't have it , and in some cases if you force them them will partially throw away the old oil - simply if you know how to change the oil then DIY or go to any local mechanic and he will do it -haven't you saw the words in my previous post - that one of the mechanic of hero told me never to come to any svc of hero . Now its your decision .

Re: Hero Karizma ZMR (2014 version)
So thanks a lot for a complete explanation. Really nice of you. Having read this and having a odo read of aprx 9000 km I think my next oil change will be a 10/30 motul. Till now it was always replaced in the free services so I didn't have a say, now I'll get them to put what I say ( which I know thanks to you guys)

That statement is incorrect.
Honda actually recommends using 20W40 engine oil in Karizma engine manual.
But to increase rev-ability & acceleration, Hero suggested using 10W30 oil, which was implemented in India.
Conclusion: It is absolutely safe (and also recommended) to use 20W40 engine oil.
