hi i have ridden 1300km since my last service.so today i checked the engine oil level and it has dropped to the "MIN" level i checked under the engine and also everywhere around the engine and there was no leakage present.so just wondering where the oil has gone does oil evaporate itself when the engine heats ? because in my last service they filled the crank case with engine oil to the "MAX" level please give some advice.thank you.

Hi guys, I'm looking to upgrade to zmr from my rtr 160, it would be great if you share maintenance costs, spare parts availability etc

Assuming its the hero mineral oil, 1300kms is pretty high a usage for it. Hence the decrease in level. Its normal.

Park the bike on main stand and let it settle down for 45 odd min. Then check the level.

aradhya Try to give some booking amount instead of full payment if you are not sure of delivery. However, not every dealer will accept it as many require full payment before they can process the order.
You can also try giving them PDC(post-dated cheque) if they accept it.

The bike is still new.. as in no one has tried it to its max.. the old ZMRs are rock solid.. maintenance is pretty low as you hardly face any problem with the bike.. spare parts are available easily and if it isnt available, they can always get it for you in max 2 weeks time..

A daily commuter to office 33Kms per side - No, back pains at all(both for me and my bike )... wrist pain for 2 weeks (change from passion plus to zmr) but it's gone now.

Although the last bar starts blinking even before 3ltrs are left, but why take chances - keep 2 bars of fuel at least.

The bike is not just a big head turner but a unnecessary attention gainer. I got my share of bruises already @Divya Sharan Bhai. This sunday I parked my vehicle at a tourist site (Qutub Shahi Tombs) and stood at a distance with my fellow photography club members to give instructions. I had to go to my bike every 2 mins to stop some one sitting on my bike/ twisting the accelerator, adjusting the mirror. Even kids won't avoid sitting on it. And the big thing - one of the guy whom I told not to sit came back and hard pulled the rear indicator when I went inside the site(as told to me my some old fellow sitting at the gate) . As per ur and one of my frnd's VALUABLE advice - USED FEVIQUICK and the world goes back to work again
you are right bro,the rear indicator keeps on breaking i mean mine breaks of many times a day as i have pillion riders a lot, yesterday i use some elfy and i think it is going to the job now and yes the bike is a big time head turner and its been two months since i have had this bike and people still ask about it everyday and before you upgrade to higher wattage bulb make sure your warranty doesnt void.

oil does not evaporate like that maybe there was some leakage you didnt notice, mine had leakage problem too when i bought it and when i took to svc they told me that it is chain oil and nothing to worry about but i told them to check because i dont want the engine to stall in middle of nowhere so they checked and the o ring was faulty so they replaced it,you should get your bike checked too..

Are the rims same as old zmr?? or broader for accomodating that 120 section tyre.

Oil does not evaporate, yes. But it gets burnt if used for long and hence the level decreases.

They are the same. The chain guard is modified to accommodate the thicker tyre.

i had been using a semi synthetic oil which didn't make any problem.normally i rode 2000kms with that semi synthetic oil without any problem.but last time i couldn't find that oil and had to use hero mineral oil ( that silver color bottle )

Only negative that comes to my mind after looking at this pic is that the tank should have been raised and made a bit more beefier. But stil, its cool!

definitely, the tank should have been beefier. also i think, if it is a monoshocked (though technically not necessary), then the look from rear would be unmatched in its class..!!!
