Re: Hero Karizma ZMR (2014 version)
For the oil consuming and the smoke part, my mech says the piston rings are to be blamed. Coming to tappet and timing chain noise, its too difficult for me to assess what is wrong. I get this tik tik sound always and seems to increase when the engine heats up.Originally posted by rreneav1987 View Post

Re: Hero Karizma ZMR (2014 version)
my bike is generating noise similar to dukes but not louder apart from the regular engine sound.. the rhythm of the noise follows the engine sound. it becomes bit louder at accelerating and decelerating. what could be the reason..? the ASC guy told me it was tappet sound, but iam pretty sure tappet would make metal tick tick sound....not like low bass duke sound. could be timing chain..? given for service and will know today evening.Originally posted by rreneav1987 View Post
i only hear the timings chain noise.. besides..
iam bit worried about my bike now.
thanks.

Re: Hero Karizma ZMR (2014 version)
but i feel its due to some problem, and the sound is not enjoyable too....its kind of giving me worries. this sound became audible only few months back...!!!Originally posted by rreneav1987 View PostEven my Hunk feels the same.. I love that bassy sound though
despite of this problem, my bike still on the performance band and outstanding mileage.

Re: Hero Karizma ZMR (2014 version)
I am not sure if that was a sudden thing in my Hunk.. I mean, I really never used it much as it was my bro who bought it.. I started using it after I moved to New Delhi from Chennai.. my bro doesn't use his bike much.. he drives his car so it was lying in the house.. so whenever i go to Chennai, I ask him to get it serviced and i use it.. I usually complete 1000 kms in 7 days and I leave the bike in decent condition and by the time I go back, the bike has to be kicked to start as the battery is dead without being used.. my bro uses it, but only for local shopping and to drop my niece in playschool.. waiting to get my hands on it again this month end when I come to ChennaiOriginally posted by dineshaugustin View Postbut i feel its due to some problem, and the sound is not enjoyable too....its kind of giving me worries. this sound became audible only few months back...!!!

Re: Hero Karizma ZMR (2014 version)
You are partially correct, I + Pillion weigh 114kgs onlyOriginally posted by rreneav1987 View Post130 kmph with a pillion?? is it a stock bike or is it that both you and the pillion together weigh 65 kgs
I haven't been on a P220 on long rides so I can't comment on it.. but from my experience.. doing a 5200 kms ride in 5 days at high speeds of 100 - 120 kmph constantly without any problem with a small bike like ZMR.. fantastic experience
came back home without any problem.. the engine still sounded the same with no extra noise except the plastic fairing is rattling here and there
still haven't got her serviced except oil change and she is still running fine.. Oh My Black Pearl "I Love You"
by the way.. You have a P220? I thought it was P180 :banghead:
don't go for the anti-theft alarms.. they could cause serious electrical problems..
, I habe done 138on GPS with pillion on my 220
and you know it was never stock.
Regarding Antitheft alarm, I do not think they can have adverse effects as we can always get back to stock setup, only problem is battery draining.

New ZMR owners are too busy with their bikes that they forgot people are waiting for reviews.Originally posted by abhi7013 View PostNew owners, please give a feedback regarding the mileage and comfort..
