    Can anybody please help me here and tell me what and where should I be looking to fix my bike ?

    Are you talking about V1, or is it FZsFi that's bothering you? If it's V1, what's on the ODO? Check the air filter, coils, spark plug, battery and if everything is fine, you may have to open up the block.

      Hi all,

      Iam having fz16 fi since 11months.from last 1month onwards when I reduce 2nd gear to 1 gear at the time nuetral came it cause slips when iam U turn or slow down ,this behave loss my balance.

        [MENTION=48174]chaosaddict[/MENTION], I have FZ16 (V1). Couple of days back a local mech checked the filter and spark plug, and he said both are fine.
        On Saturday I'd be taking my bike to my regular mechanic, and yes, like you said, I've got to check for coils, battery, and if these two are fine,
        then am afraid, we'll have to open up the block.

          How to check the mileage on your FZ FI. please share some tips!

          some old methods wont work, as i had to always maintain minimum 2 ltrs to protect the FI.

          so how can i arrive at the exact figure?

          when It was delivered from the showroom, fuel indicator 'blinking'. ( not sure how much of gas they put in while delivery).

          Live like you mean it, then get a bike!

              Try reserve to reserve method. Reset your trip meter when you hit reserve. Fill fuel and change it to main again. Remember the amount of fuel you put in. Then when you hut reserve again, check how many KMs are done in the ODO which we rested earlier. That KM/fuel quantity is your milage.

              Showroom ppl usually provide just half litter or amount of fuel which requires to reach it till nearest fuel bunk.

                Dude, yamaha fz fi, is fuel injected! It doesnt have a knob to switch between main and reserve.

                      To measure mileage you might have to fill the tank full, reset your trip meter and ride till some 100 kms (use any suitable range of kms you want) then go back to fill full tank. now measure how much fuel you have to fill to get full tank. using the amount of fuel you fill second time you know how much you took to cover 100 kms(or how much ever you have achieved for this test). this above method is not best mileage possible but realistic one. Mileage depends on lot of things like weight of the rider and pillion and city/highway riding, to extract best mileage you can try filling half the tank, maintain optimum tyre pressure, keep load less to extract best mileage possible.

                            No I just visited the showroom with my friend for booking a R15 for him. For FZ, it is the black one which is looking more good than the red imo. Here is the OTR prices for all Yamaha bikes for the month June in Kollam, Kerala. :P Please note it may vary for other places.

                                I searched a bit and found a limited edition military green FZ-S FI is on the way. FZ-S LTD FI must be the limited edition model. They must've started the booking unofficially!?
