hmm, will check with my friend (who is SVC engineer) and let the forum know

it would be cool to have a kick rod on this bike, i am not fan of self ignition during rains!

Live like you mean it, then get a bike!

I think i read on some internet forums that Yamaha started offering kick start as factory fitted accessory on FZ 2.0. But you need to mention it when you are booking the bike and pay an additional amount (i think the forums said that it will cost INR 2,500).

            • Need help for FZS molten orange color

              Hi,
I want to buy fzs but confused in color. I loved only molten orange but it seems like the black color used in it is a matt color.

Now i read somewhere as matt color are very hard to maintenance and scrach bound. One of my friend said, matt color will get scratches even with simple cloth rubbing on dusty body.

Please help me regarding this. I only loved this color.

believe me glossy FZ FI is so sensitive and scratch prone, even small dust particles leave visible scratches!! its pain to maintain...

i think matt bodies have advantage here, if you really love it go for it!!

i think the Commando version and molten orange are only matt finishes! so go for it you will not regret!!

                  cheers,

Thank you for the reply. Well to be honest I was expecting otherwise. The people around me gave me completely different information. Now I am completely confused for sure!

Go with the matte finish. The glossy colours are hard to protect from scratches. I own an astral blue one and it's hard to protect.

Yesterday i had been to Bangalore wheels for quotation they quoted price around 99k...
They are charging basic price as 83k where as on official Yamaha website they show us 78k....
When I questioned them about this difference of 5k they said website price are mere bogus..!!
How can official site show bogus price..!?

The website prices are excluding taxes. So they won't match the on-road prices.

To my knowledge 99k is too high. For me the on road price without LBT are quoted as 91k and with LB 94k. Also for commando green they said 1k additional. So either Bangalore city taxes are higher or he is bluffing.

But one thing is for sure, you won't get any bike with ex-showroom price.

my intention was to clarify not confuse in the first place

FZ FI has fiber body, black glossy tank is so prone to scraches its like a scratch magnet. even your denim ridges, will leave minor scraches, i have installed the tank cover and now my tank has scraches from abrasion of the leather seam, so just imagine how careful one needs to be and by the way i am an OCD freak, i always want everything to be spotless!!

Matt Finishes, i dont think you need to wipe them with cloth, because they have paper like texture, so just blow with vacuum cleaner! you are done.

I am not sure which one requires more care, because all the vehicles i own are Black Glossy Bodies ( Pulsar, Access, FZ FI).

I found the 'Duke 200' finish to be cool, its neither matt nor black its like enamel coated body and feels premium and lustrous!

Truth is, one day your bike gets old and you will least bother to care for her unless you are a freak like me, i still polish my access every two week even after it completed 4 years and churned 85k kms.

so good luck mate, don't get confused just follow your heart!! we have experts around here who help you clarify more doubts on maintenance and care.

Looking forward for the pictures of your new bike!!

                              cheers, happy and safe riding!

there are lot of factors that effect the final on road price, this will vary from state to state!
So you may find variation for +/- 5K depending upon the city you are living.

dealerships also play crucial role, so if you have many dealers then get quotes and compare! this will not have major variation and will be in hundreds.

also, check for the accessories and handling charges that they throw in the quotation that will add to around 3K more. so ask questions before purchasing.

there is also and extended warranty that will come for around 800Rs i guess.

                              hope it helps.

Yeah. I am a freak too! I had my passion plus for 8 years and while selling it, it was just like new. So that's why I wanted to get opinions from real users before purchasing. I am booking my bike tomorrow. Will be in my hands by weekend
