Since this is the ownership thread, I thought this will be right place to put my question. I recently broke my rear Fender(rear wheel huger) - It came out in 4 pieces. I want now to go with V1's fender. I've seen some posts on this thread too about the same. I asked the service center guys to do it but they said it would be an alteration and hence they can't do it. Please suggest me a workshop in Bangalore which can do the same by not damaging the bike. Any place near Marathahalli will be easier for me to reach but even if not so, it's fine.
I just posted it here a week ago. By the way, the V1 Fender is a direct fit on V2 (same positioning holes). No alteration is needed as per SVC Guys.

Is there any possibility of fitting saree guard?
Yes, Saree Guard is available as an accessory. Rs.300 i think. (but the back fender acts as a saree guard)

here is a pic from a parking lot..

I think it better performance than pullser 180
And the 180 is vibrating a lot in 75kmph and more
Fz can go faster in corners
                    And smooth silent engine
You can hear the sound of intake air(I like that sound)

Why do you want to go for fender when the tyre hugger is broken? The rear fender or tyre hugger of V1 is next to useless and splashes lot's of water behind. AFAIK, it isn't a direct fit from my talk's with the SVC guys.
The real beauty lies in throttle's twist!!

Headlight can be replaced, Head cannot be. Wear a helmet.

I want the rear tyre hugger of v1 because it restricts the mud from splashing on the socker. It also comes with the chain cover which is pretty much needed. If not possible then will go with the v2 tyre hugger only:banghead:

You are mistaken. V1's tyre hugger is small puny plastic which is of no use. The mud does splash on the mono shock and. IMO, go for the V2's tyre hugger. Also, FZ has open chain and not closed type. The old generation models (not all) had some sort extension covering the chain, but not enclosing it.

Now this may sound crazy but just a thought.

I hav come across with a 250cc engine swap on a yamaha fz16 version1. Now that the version 2(fzfi) being a fuel injected bike, and there are a lot of performance bikes which are fuel injected, if i would try and swap my engine, what are the things i should consider for the search of a new engine. Preferably of a higher cc say 250 or 300cc.

PS: I had bought an FzFi 4 months back and i feel that the bike can handle more power than what is available.. I have researched about changing the sproket to attain better accleration while i give up some top end and vise versa. Looking for some insight on the engine swap idea.

There is a performance engine that is almost direct fit to Fz chassis. And that engine is also a 149cc. non other that the r15 v2.0. LC4V with 17 bhp & 15 nm torque. Only a few necessary changes needs to be made.
I did some research and came up with these pics. Hope it makes you understand what I am trying to say.
