My bike is under warranty and
Its going to be my 3rd servicing, before i had done servicing from the same showroom from where i have bought a bike but this time im thinking of servicing at nearby showroom. So is it possible to service a bike in any yamaha show room free of cost under warranty?
You can get your vehicle serviced at any authorized Yamaha SVC pan India!

That should be fine. Maybe the dealer has an efficient setup with the RTO. We usually get the registration number in a day or two. However, you'd get your RC card in 21 days.
        Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

For FZ V1, Daytona kit was useless. It only increased the intial pickup with decrease in top end and fuel economy. IMO, don't go for any mod and keep it stock.

Trading torque for power, not welcome for heavy riders, especially since the motor in stock condition strains to pull heavy riders.

Servicing is not dependent on the Dealer. You can get your Bike serviced at any authorized Service Center.

                      • Yamaha FZ-FI, 6000 kms, 3months

                        Hello xbhpians,

This is my first post here..!! So please bear with my ignorance ;-)

After deciding to buy a new bike, with a budget restriction of around 1lakh, I had a hard time shortlisting which to buy. With a budget of that kind, i could easily get a 150cc bike which there are many.. Personally i have always had a thing for RE and the fz RE for everything and fz for the macho looks and the handling. The newly launched gixxer too lookd promising enough but i wasnt much into it. Atlast as RE was a bit hard on my wallet i went along with the Yamaha FZ. To be precise the fuel injected version, ofcourse i had to be meilage concious

Took the delivery of the bike on nov2nd. Registration took almost a month cuz of festiv season which was not so gud my frend had told me that there might be problems with registration if the odo showd anything more than a 100 in figure so i had to wait till nov27 where i got my number plate and then began the love<3

3months of city riding with 70+kms each day and each day is the same as the first day:-))

Taking her for the 3rd service tomorrow and then comes the big day..!! Planned to take her for a long drive..!!☺☺

                        Here are a few photos..!!

Well by performance if u mean power i have to accept its a bit less than the 1st version. I have askd the service guy to tune the bike for extra pickup this time As i had mentioned i ride around 70+ kms each day.. No issues faced so far except for the engine heating up.. When i asked abt this in the showroow they said it was normal if u ride at high rpms (my avg rpm is around 6k). No clicking sound.. Better get that checked. Regarding the engine sound i had the same complaint and wen i asked about it today while dropping off for service he said as the engine ages the sound will naturally change. This can be rectified by chamging the engine oil on each service.

I hav few questions for myself..! I hav a lot of micro scratches on my tank and i very badly wanna get rid of them..! Any suggestions please..:-S

                              Hello Ganesh,

For scratches you can find lot of scratch removal from flipkart. For now i am using Formula1 Wax @ shine and a Vista Shinner. THis will remove 80% of the scratches. Even i had same same near tank. will Send some Pics of bike to show the diffrence.

I have clocked around 5000kms, with FE of around 54kmpl mostly ridden in city. I riding in eco mode max time. Recently I started facing few issue with bike:

                              1. There is a strange clinking sound coming while accelerating the bike. As some bot is loose and is preventing the smoothness while revving. (I am unable to explain what exactly be the reason for the same). This noramlly comes after some 30kms travelled at a streach. I have showed it to Service People but they are not sure about it as they say the sound is normal.

                              2. I have filled 28psi front and rear 32psi and maybe i have filled more air. Will there be any impact of this on riding.

                              3. What all point should I keep in mind while going for 3rd service? Please be specify that I should be keeping in mind. DO let me know what all you have done and how bike is performing before and after service.

                              4. Bike sound is increasing with time. Is this normal???(Semi-synt Oil costly around 550 planning to put the same)

                              5. I am new to FI engine Bikes. Anything specific I should follow for maintaining bike.

I am new with xBhp and expecting to grow with all experienced people in this forum. Thanks a lot in advance.

                                1) Make sure the slackness of chain is maintained properly. Clean and lube it at every 500kms intervals.

                                2) Tyre pressure is perfect and will not hamper the riding in any way.

                                3) Nothing specific, untill you hmface any major issue.

                                4) Compare the sound of your bike with other and see if you notice any difference. Also, use Engine Oil specified for FZ only. SVC will generally use R15 oil.

                                5) Don't ride on low fuel. Else, the pump will be damaged.

PS: I hope you have followed the break in procedure religiously.
