        Hello owners.

I went through this thread that the Fi on the FZ v2.0 is really fetching good FE.

I currently own a Yamaha Gladiator (2011) and needless to say its an extremely capable bike. I have ridden the FZ v1 which i found to be very refined,
There have been cases where i raced with FZs and with a little struggle could outpass them or atleast tail them.

Now the question is coming from a 11 bhp & 10nm background , will FZ v2.0 be a worthy upgrade?

My sole purpose of upgrade will be for touring & commuting. And I do adventure touring where i take my bike off the roads and abuse it in many ways. My Gladiator has till date never given up.

        Some expert advises please.

        Thanks in advance.

Also , I am interested into the Fazer v2.0 for my personal liking of the huge fairing & the wind protection it provides in touring.

R15 is one of my favorites and there is not a single thing I don\'t like about the R15 other than the seating.

see I have been riding the new fz from last one month I am satisfied with its performance and I just sold off my 220 to get this.., now that speaks a lot for it right...see it depends what u want fz to do for instance I live near hilly areas with lots of awseom turns .so for me its very agile and nimble and i dare say much faster than my 220 ..I bought for handling its doing pretty good in that departmnt ..few pointers 1 great handle with such able chasis 2 tyres are best I have ridden from any bike 3 can cruise at 80 kmph mark 4 fe for me is near about 50 kmpl 5 looks and build quality is top notch and I find it better than its comptition 6 brakes are forgiving ..its difficult to lock tyre even in hard braking 7 very refined and silent engine.8 only issue that I face is VERY LESS TORQUE CAMPARED TO 220 U HAVE TO REV IT to a bit especially with a pillion or goin uphill..

I too was owning yamaha Gladiator ss 2008 model and done around 49K Kms on it. Till now its performing well. I was in the same shoe 3 months back where you are now. Finally decided to go with yamaha FZS FI. the power might have reduced from previous version but the weight has also come down by 3kgs + fuel injection. AS per my personal experinace with the bike(3200kms) bike is performing well.Only issue the Clinking SOung when engine heats up. no solution for it yet.

Coming to FAzer version 2.0 is a good bike but with same engine as the FSZ V2.0 but with more weight. so it doesnt make sense to go for the same. Also check out Gixxer.

            My personal Preferance FZS V2

              Hi All,

I bought Fazer on 15th Dec. 2014. Its been about a month & had its first service.
I bought it from Kamlya Yamaha chinchwad pune. Servicing was OK OK Types.

What my concern is they charged me 150rs for CHAIN CLEAN (although they used lubricating spray in front of me ).
But its not worth paying them 150.(even i can buy a spray).
Is this normal and if not then Can I tell them not to do CHAIN CLEANING for the next service.

              Thanks,
              Nakul

Thanks for the points ... Fazer v2.0 to me seems to be the best option in the market as I am a corner junkie , so great chassis is my first priority. The \"low torque\" things is an issue as the bike i won presently also has the same \"low torque\" issue.
Anyways thanks for the feed back

Thanks for the feed back. I am sure you understand it the best what kind of dilemma i am going through. The Gladiator is such an excellent machine , all rounder from highway cruising to offroading to high speed cornering. The only issue with the Gladiator is the lack of power & huge lack of torque.

According to you , is the new fzs v2.0 considerably more powerful & torque than the gladiator ?

Yes surely you will feel the diffrence once you ride it. Its like bike is reading your mind when you need to overtake or cornering its great bike. Bike looses on its top end which is the only drawback.but for city and even highway bike performs well.I can suggest u gixxer also. But its suzuki so just try out both bike.:-)cheers

You may get the battery replaced under warranty. [emoji106]

No man no such issues. Recently I have faced this issue.
I switched the ignition off in my bike in traffic signal and next thing i know the bike is not starting. Not even responding to the start switch. Helplessly I moved the bike around nothing happened. Finally I arrive at a mechanics place after 5 odd minutes of pushing the bike. The mechanic pushes the ignition switch and voila the bike starts. Happened twice now. No idea why.
My best guess is the fuel pump is not taking suction due to vapor locking or something else. Any ideas?

Have not faced this issue till now. I feel battery discharging may be a issue.

Anndd Hello Guys today i clocked 4000kms. Nothing major issue as of now.

                            1. Cluter got loose got it fixed.
                            2. Engine noise has increaed but i liked the slient sound. Any idea to reduce it a bit more.
                            3. BIke is at is best at 65- 75. Enjoying riding it in bangalore traffic.
Last i filled petrol for about 12.47litres and clocked 670kms with some petrol left in tank. Getting a good mileage.

Since you have a bike that has a tachometer, rely on the RPM and not speed!
Run in should be done in accordance to RPM readings only.

Stick between 3000 to 4000 RPM for commutes with occasional bursts to 5000 RPM and you should be fine.
