Re: Yamaha FZ16 version 2.0
its true the price of any vehicle in bangalore is highest when compared to other cities. I have paid 98K for FZ-S fi v2 astral blue edition which included crash guard, registration fees, insurance, grips, 3M teflon coating, additional warranty period (777 rs). the RTO road tax itself was billed at 11,072 Rs. and bike prices were coated around 86K for FZ-S fi v2 and 83K for FZ fi v2.Originally posted by abhishek_jain View PostYesterday i had been to Bangalore wheels for quotation they quoted price around 99k...They are charging basic price as 83k where as on official Yamaha website they show us 78k....When I questioned them about this difference of 5k they said website price are mere bogus..!!How can official site show bogus price..!?"when life throws you a curve, lean into it. FZ-s seeking a solution
hello, Im Raghav and i have certain problems to discuss. Met with many authorized service centers, they just say problem solved. It does but shoots up again in a few days. I use my bike daily so i cant go back to the service center to even yell at them. Can anyone give me the advice for the following solutions?
1. the balance- bought FZ-S for its balance-n-driving comfort. mechanic says my rear tyre has worn on the right half(when viewed from back). what he says is to wait till the tyre wears completely( when asked to change).
2. when the bike is running, in say second or in third gear, it turns off completely ( i have to click start it everytime) (please dont say i dont know to drive- i have covered three bikes and FZS alone for 30k kms
). no one has yet said a word about it.
3. when i ride and if my front tyre goes over a small stone or any bad road the handle bar turns to its own direction----this freaks me out!!
4. while riding if i meet with any ups or downs, the front wheel when goes down makes a sound- this sound like tak. friends said it was because of cone set problem that was in all other FZS. if so what is the solution?
5. after riding for long i hear "keech keech" sound, dont know the origin of the sound but mechanic said that it was from the brake pad and he said to replace it, i did it and again in a week i get that sound.
guys please help me out......

Firstly let me welcome to XBp.
1. Did you ever change your rear tyre in the 30K kms. If not please change. The reason for only the right side being worn out is because of the fact that our roads are tapered from the middle for draining of water. The tyre being of round profile has contact only in the right half of the tyre. So the right side will wear out faster than left. The tyre will get more deteriorated as the left side will never get worn out due to the above mentioned facts. Please change your tyres.
2. Does the engine shuts of when you engage the clutch or otherwise. If the engine shuts off when you engage your clutch. The please check your idle RPM. If found less please set it to the required RPM.
3. Please check as per point 1 for this problem.
4. First check whether the cone set lock nut is tightened properly. If loose, please tighten the nut. this should solve your problem.
5. Please put your bike on stand and slowly rotate the front wheel and see if the wheel is rotating freely. If it does not rotate freely. Then check the alignment of the wheel.
Cheers

Re: Need help for FZS molten orange color
I have the black one . and it is prone to scratches easily. Even if you clean the dust using a cloth it'll leave scratch marks. So Military green is way to go( matte finish) although black one is an eye catcher.Originally posted by adwaitk007 View PostThank you for the reply. Well to be honest I was expecting otherwise. The people around me gave me completely different information. Now I am completely confused for sure!

Re: Yamaha FZ16 version 2.0
Purchased my black fz fi today. Once I get some mileage under belt I will post a review of it and also how I shortlisted this bike.
----consecutive posts auto-merged-----
Please someone tell me what is the price of front visor and whether it can be purchased from local shop? Visor for fitting into fz was out of stock but salesman quoted Rs.500 for it.

no its not exactly smoke, technically the engine is so hot that water splashing on it causes it to evaporate and form water vapour/steam.Originally posted by nexu5 View PostSmoke from the engine during rain is normal ?Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk"when life throws you a curve, lean into it. "

Cool.Originally posted by Leo_Vanquisher View Postno its not exactly smoke, technically the engine is so hot that water splashing on it causes it to evaporate and form water vapour/steam.
By the way what about incorrect fuel bar reading ? If I keep my bike on side stand for 20-30 minutes, reading shows 1-2 bar and sometimes "E" starts blinking. But when I ride about 100m it starts showing correct reading .
