Its fuel injected. I don't want struggle on my trips to hill stations. (experienced previously)3. Wind protection due to semi fairing. (better on highways)4. Mid range is punchy. Easy going...not too many shift are needed.5. Extremely refined. I am a die hard fan of refinement cause I do long distance touring.6. I love the way it looks.7. Decent fuel efficiency.8. Costs 1 lakh INR on road.9. Comfortable sitting position. (Not sporty like R15)Please throw your thoughts on this. Point out the negatives of this bike. Also point out positives if you can.
negatives for highway touring-1. the bike has very good mid range but sadly looses out on top end which does show up when you try pushing the bike post 90 kmph. the engine is not redline happy.positives for highway touring-1. very stable bike, even at triple digit speeds. almost runs glued to the road. 2. mile muncher with good fuel efficiency.3. relaxed driving ergonomics.4. fat tyres give amazing mid corner grip. 5. handling is so involving and reassuring, makes you to push further in a corner. also very flick-able in heavy traffic.6. feels like a bigger bike. 7. refinement is so good, that once I had to stop to check if the engine was still running.one thing that I love on this bike - the ease of cornering. the bike just helps you out to push further with each turn you take, and its so natural that even my amature skills of cornering have improved so much that I look like a pro doing it. the tyres and handling are confidence inspiring you feel like even gravity can't bring you down on those curves and by the time you realise you are already leaning in to the corner with the road a few centimetres away from the reach of your knees. the easy and sure-footed cornering just satisfies me.

My bike is 9 months old.. Already did 17000+ kms with a few long trips.. Hill station rides plus daily commute of 70kms+ so far no issues.. 2 things which popped up recently.. Chain n sproket are completly worn out.. Have to replace them in anothr 1000kms.. My back tyre completly worn out.. Had a very bad fall while tryin to avoid a cow wch jumped in front of me from no where.. Front forks bent.. Handlebar bent.. Fixed them but still feel that its missing the grip.. I havnt changed my tyres yet.. Is it my mind sayin u dont have grip on the road or my fork is not in position yet or will i feel better aftr i change my tyres???

Hi to all fellow XBHP community members.....This is my first post ..... I have been a reader of this community since ages and more so from the time when i decided to change my ride. Earlier i had GS 150R which now my father rides, replaced same with Fazer V2 around 4 months ago; my ride has done more than 6K plus Km's till date and has been niggle free for most of the part.

As all of us are aware that fazer/fz has good mid range but there is virtually no top end and engine feels strained.....now i did read somewhere in this thread regarding change of front sproket to 15T for improving the cruising ability of Fazer/fz, thus tried to fit 15T Honda unicorn sproket on my ride but same was not a perfect fit on the drive shaft i.e. it was loose......can somebody please help me with this ......please let me know your suggestions as to which bike's front sproket would be a perfect fit for my Fazer.

        Thanks in advance

Overgearing gives more top end but at the loss of acceleration. I won't suggest overgearing untill you are more of a highway cruiser

Hope you are safe buddy, Did you get the forks replaced or got them fixed? If the tyres have completely worn out then you must get them changed for your safety. If you still feel lack of grip then maybe you need to get the forks replaced. On my earlier bike Apache i had an accident and the forks got bent but the guys at the TVS got them in shape, took me sometime to get adjusted but on hard front braking i would hear a "kat" noise and feel like I might loose grip.

I have fot them fixed as the service center guy said that its not that badly bent we can fix it.. Changing the tyres as soon i get my salary i now hav problems while breaking as u said.. I feel as if the disc pads hav worn out.. And i feel i am over turning the handlebars at corners.. The bike turns too much. And slight shake makes the bike wobble too much..

try checking the cone set ball racer of your bike at service center/you can also check it by putting bike on center stand lift up the front wheel and move the handle freely. check if it turns smoothly or gets stuck or tilts to one direction. also check the brake fluid level.

Do the new bikes come with Ceat Tyres or continue with MRF? Read that Ceat are going to be OEM tyres for FZ's.

If you are a noob, better take it to a good bike mechanic/electrician. If you are doing it yourself, fit HID with projectors.
