It happened with me once when my bike fell while taking a u turn on slope. The light was blinking and the bike was not ready to start even after 7-8 attempts. But it did and everything went normal after 5-10 minutes.

Check the wirings properly. Make sure all the connections are intact.Originally posted by liladhar View PostGuys i have washed my bike and after washing the engine light is staying on and continuous flickers if i ride bike, can any1 help me out what can be the issue
When you fall, the engine light of the bike will blink and will not start - this is an automatic response of the ECU to falls/accidents, and it's there in many bikes. The tip-over sensor detects the fall via lean angle & impact, and shuts the engine for sometime.Originally posted by yamaboy View PostIt happened with me once when my bike fell while taking a u turn on slope. Everything comes back to normal after a while. This is mainly to avoid further damage in case of accidents. This is not a superbike but inclusion of this feature is more than welcome, I feel.BENEATH THE REMAINS.........

Re: Yamaha FZ16 version 2.0
Got my Fazer v2.0 (Snowy) home ...
----consecutive posts auto-merged-----
Now I have rode my machine close to 300 kms ... and is noticing a peculiar behaviour of the speedometer console.
At speeds of 60 - 70 kmph, if I honk, the tacho meter is getting reset and sometimes even the speed value is changing. It clearly tells something is just not right with the bike.
I will be trying to rectify the issue by a AC rectification by using diodes ... but I am not sure if that will solve the issue.
If the issue persists, I am going to sue Yamaha India till they solve the issue completely.
IF ANYONE ELSE FACING THE SAME ISSUE OF THEIR FZ OR FAZER ??

Bikes looks great in those colors, so what's the update on the issue, was it some loose connections?Originally posted by bobisbacktorock View PostGot my Fazer v2.0 (Snowy) home ...

Re: Yamaha FZ16 version 2.0
The V1 gives lower than 40kmpl, and the v2 can give anywhere between 40-50kmpl depends on the riding style. Also the power band is much spread out and easy to drive within the city. Vibrations are also quite low compared to V1.Originally posted by Motomonster View PostWhat is the kmpl difference between v2 and v1.is it just 5-6 kmpl or more.I would be riding mostly at 55 60 kmph so will the v1 give me average of 45.My Machine -Yamaha Fzs V2
