Re: Problem with Fz-s Ver 2 Self Start
Everything going blank tells a blown fuse. Replace that.Originally posted by Saghar View PostHi Frnds,
This is my first post here... Am from Chennai...
Am a proud owner of Fz-s Version 2..
I purchased my bike on Jan but from the last month there has been some constant problems wit it and i serviced my bike bfore 1 weeks thinking it might make things better but no....
There has been some vibrations wen i reach above 55 kms speed
The key lock screw unscrews itself due to this vibrations
And from last month there has been a huge drop in my mileage
And something very strange happened today....
I turned on the key and switched on the ignition switch and wen i tried the self start everything went blank wit a 'Click' sound near the engine... everything got switched off automatically... (Going to consult a mechanic tmrw abt this problem)
Wen i tried to remove my key n inserted again same thing happened...
And now wen i turn on the key nothing gets turned on... everything is blank....
On my last service i.e. on 24th Oct they charged me for something like
Element Assy Oil Cle
Yamahalube 4T 20W-40 SL, 1L (I change this oil regularly on every service)
Yamaha Chain CL
Yamaha Chain LU
Consumables
They said there wont be any vibrations but no improvements.
Can anyone tell me wht r these thing....?
And any idea y i have been having these regular prob or any steps to check wat the prob might be?
The answer to my question can be a little long but it would be a huge help if u guys can guide me to understand my bike.
Engine vibrating in neutral as well or when you ride it?
Figure out what is vibrating the engine itself...or the whole transmission system.
Possibilities can be a worn out chain & sprocket, worn out wheel bearings, a clogged air filter or spark plug or something really serious like an ECU failure.
Go by basics - replace air filter & spark plug. Remove the rider's seat and check if anything is blocking the air filter intake.
Warm up the engine properly and revv it till redline and check if it smokes white or not.
Don't worry, your bike is still under warranty and Yamaha will take care of it.
If service centre do not help you, go ahead and drop an email to Yamaha India directly.
Wish you luck and keep us posted.

Re: Yamaha FZ16 version 2.0
Hello Guys,
Its been a year and more than 20K on the reader. it still runs as if its brand new - smooth engine, crisp gears and amazing acceleration.
The only concern is that it gets dirty very soon, as if its attracting dust particles. I have to wash the beast every other week. But then I also get compliments for new shining bike now and then.
Recently, I noticed some burnt oil or soot from the exhaust. Its is very sticky and I have to rub it really hard to remove.

What could be this thing? What is causing it?
PS: (off-topic) I am looking for contributors to my Google Tricks Blog, let me know if you are interested.
