Guys, is the PUC valid for 6 months from date of purchase or 1 year for our bikes?
All I know is there is no need to have a PUC done for first few months. Is that really so? Please help

just adjust the clutch free play, its very simple adjustment with lot of DIY's available on internet.

Guys .. I resolved the issue myself.

I tested both the horns individually and found out the "high horn" was creating the issue.

I had some experience in display resets, hence I did the simplest remedy ... I connected a 10A diode in reverse bias to cancel out the AC pulse that gets generated when a horn is operated.

And it was spot on... the issue disappeared immediately. Will share the images shortly.

If your issue is not resolved yet, Just clean those areas with petrol and observe for next 100 - 200 kms. If oil leakage starts again then take your bike to the dealer, else everything is fine.

To me it looks more like a vapour escape, not a leakage exactly. Observe it for few hundred kilometers.

That is a stupid type of a seat cover that the dealers forcefully fitted. I have removed it already.

Not sure about v1, but I am getting mileage of 47 - 55 kmpl on my fazer fi v2.0.

If cost difference is not an issue, I don't think there is any point of buying a carbureted engine when the fuel injected counterpart is available.

I have never gotten it done but it is needed after completion of a year from the registration of your bike,

What if the cops ask for it. I am planning to go to gorai beach with my buddies and as per my friend, they do stop bikes for a check.

                        Hi,

I have been riding a Pulsar for 12 Yrs and was used to its Double Horn

Only grouse with the Yammie is that the horn sound like "Chueen Chueen" a girlish sound from a manly beast.

Has anyone tried upgrading the Horn of Yamaha FZ V2.0?

The Factory fitted Horn is 12 V 2 Amp and the the battery is 12V 4 Amps

The Chassis has a slot to attach another Horn

Will connecting a second Horn of 2 Amps cause any problems?

The FI runs on the battery hence i am skeptical

Is there any other option or ideas?

Remove existing ones and plonk in bigger or better ones. Try to keep the consumption low as the switch might not handle it. If u want it by hook or crook, then go with a relay harness.

And read about the ampere game in the following thread - http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/universa...d-etc-548.html

                            Thanks Mate!.

The link you gave was very well written. You should write more such explanations I recommend everyone to read it.

Also, I have a few more questions. if would be kind enough to answer them.

Would using a 6 amp horn on the Yam FZ V2 cause the fuse to blow? If yes i will have to learn push starting the bike!!

When you say switch do you mean the fuse or is it something else?

Flipkart/ Amazon sell dual horns.. If i connect only one horn from a 6 amp dual horn will I be only using 3 amp?

                              Thank you so much.

If the 6 amp horns are connected directly to the stock connections, then fuse might blow.

By "switch" I meant the stock "Horn" switch on the LHS switch gear. The internal connector melts if you put too much load.

The only way to safely do that is to put a relay harness with an internal fuse. The relay harness will supply those"6 amps" of current through the relay directly to the horn from the battery without putting any load on the bike's fuse.

Yes, if 6 amps means 3+3 amps, then putting one horn will be only 3 amps.

                              • Problem with Fz-s Ver 2 Self Start

                                Hi Frnds,
This is my first post here... Am from Chennai...
Am a proud owner of Fz-s Version 2..
I purchased my bike on Jan but from the last month there has been some constant problems wit it and i serviced my bike bfore 1 weeks thinking it might make things better but no....
There has been some vibrations wen i reach above 55 kms speed
The key lock screw unscrews itself due to this vibrations
And from last month there has been a huge drop in my mileage
And something very strange happened today....
I turned on the key and switched on the ignition switch and wen i tried the self start everything went blank wit a 'Click' sound near the engine... everything got switched off automatically... (Going to consult a mechanic tmrw abt this problem)
Wen i tried to remove my key n inserted again same thing happened...
And now wen i turn on the key nothing gets turned on... everything is blank....
On my last service i.e. on 24th Oct they charged me for something like
                                Element Assy Oil Cle
Yamahalube 4T 20W-40 SL, 1L (I change this oil regularly on every service)
                                Yamaha Chain CL
                                Yamaha Chain LU
                                Consumables
They said there wont be any vibrations but no improvements.
Can anyone tell me wht r these thing....?
And any idea y i have been having these regular prob or any steps to check wat the prob might be?
The answer to my question can be a little long but it would be a huge help if u guys can guide me to understand my bike.
