Re: Yamaha FZ16 version 2.0
Yes the fendrer is available seperately, costs around Rs 150-170 I guess.Originally posted by Raty_FZ View PostIs the rear fender available separately? I do wish to remove the tyre hugger and install the rear fender. Did u done this at service center?
Do fix the short tyre hugger, it protects the monoshock from small stones thrown from the tyre.
I did the complete fitting part myself, no extra modification needed both are direct fit.

No extra screws or bolts are required for fitting the fender. I am posting the pictures of the bolts which I opened to remove the rear fender.Originally posted by hemnath View PostI was looking for the answer, can you poat some pics. You may need different size of sockets for the bolts don't try to open the bolts with an open head wrench as it may damage the bolts. To remove the rear tail light assembly you will need allen keys. A bit of tricky part is to attach the wire of the rear seat lock.
If you don't have the required equipments to open it, go to any local mechanic he would charge you Rs 40-50 max for the job it takes around 15 minutes to remove and replace the fender.

Re: Yamaha FZ16 version 2.0
Hello my bike is 5 months old recently i overcome a speedbreaker on a little fast speed due to which the bike had a small jump but then during that time a churrrr kind of sound came from some where ahead. and now when ever i overcome a speedbreaker where in if i go at proper landing ther is no sound but if again i go in speed and have a short jump the churrr sound comes. sound is not that loud but kind of sound which comes from kolhapuri chappals. also the head unit vibrates as if bike is 2-3 years old in asked svc they said since there are just rubber plugs to hold the joints because of that it vibrates i need to fix screws and tightened the joints to avoid vibration.

With monsoon approaching, I would like to change my stock headlights for better illumination. Any recommendations for the same? Should I stick with 35w or will the stock battery handle 55w?
Are there any one from these worth buying?

Are there any reliable LED headlights compatible with fz v2?

even i am interested in changing to LED since its light on battery ( 55W is too much on battery, since we cont turn off it ).Originally posted by kedar3223 View PostWith monsoon approaching, I would like to change my stock headlights for better illumination. Yes that's what I thought. Plus the lack of kick starter on my bike has me paranoid. Not sure if other 35w halogens would be an improvement over the stock lamps.Originally posted by abhilashsj92 View Posteven i am interested in changing to LED since its light on battery ( 55W is too much on battery, since we cont turn off it ).
A brand called nighteye LEDs seem to be popular among the YouTubers. Not sure how much of it is paid review. Branded LEDs seem to cost a bomb.
Another alternative is to install an led auxiliary lamp. Confused.

I am also a bit dicey about the 55/60w h4 bulb as I have not found anyone using it in the forum. I wanted to put on a 55/60w bulb for experiment but philips bulbs are costly and I am not getting any 55/60 w cheap bulb nearby my locality .Originally posted by kedar3223 View PostWith monsoon approaching, I would like to change my stock headlights for better illumination. Theoretically the stock battery should pull a 55w bulb because the fazer has dual headlamp both are 35w and it also has the same 4AH battery which our fz has. The Fazer when on high beam both the bulbs glow & it draws a total current of 35+35= 70w, which is greater than both the high and low beam of the 55/60w bulb.
Now the point is when you press the pass light both the filament on the 55/60w bulb will glow at a time and will draw a total current of 115w, so only on pass light it will draw more current. So it proves that 4ah battery can handle 55/60w bulb as fazer draws 70w from the same battery. Even the fazer has dual horn which also works when the headlight is on so the battery should take the 55w bulb easily.
Putting a higher wattage bulb will draw more current from battery but I don't think it will completely drain the battery. If your battery is too old or not in very good condition then there are chances of higher drainage. If your bike has aho then you should not go for 55/60w bulb.
I am using osram rallye hs1 45/40w bulb. The low beam is 10% brighter & the high beam is around 20-25% brighter than the stock 35w bulb. I would say its just a tad bit brighter than the stock bulb.
Coming to led you will get variety of led on aliexpress and bangood. They are good but the problem is on wet roads and foggy conditions they are not that good. Secondly the focusing of led is not good as the reflector on the fz is designed for halogen and led requires specific reflectors like that of dominar and dukes, or atleast a projector for proper focusing. Thirdly if you install led you wont be able to put the seal rubber cap on back of the led because of the heat sink and it may cause water seeping insidethe reflector. If you are interested you may have a look at these links. You may also check the youtube channel "Rev it up" that guy has installed many leds on his sz and fazer.Just type rev it up led on youtube you will get his videos. You may also search jhampa66 led that guy also has installed leds on his bikes and scooters.
55/60w bulb is the best when it comes to overall performance but one will have to put it on his bike and test how it performs.
I have planned to put the 55/60w bulb from the pulsar ns200 and experiment if I get adequate time and if the cost of the bulb is reasonable.Last edited by Rajdip Saha; 05-17-2018, 10:24 PM.

Which 40/45 bulb are you using?Originally posted by Prithvirajmn8 View PostBecause of the high wattage requirement of 55/60 bulbs and the removal of rubber cap cause water leaking for led i skipped both and using 40/45 lamp which gives e descent visibility than than stock lights.

Re: Yamaha FZ16 version 2.0
Motorcycle fuel tank cap is designed in such a way that it will make the rain water (slowly passed thru the gap between cap & cap lock) to drain thru the overflow/drain line, unlike Pulsar 150cc. I think the fuel station supplies petrol with water (accumulated inside the fuel station fuel reservoir).Originally posted by djmacpro View PostIs there any thing we can do to our petrol tank cap in monsoon to avoid water going through it in fuel tank since our cap is one of a kind compared to other bikesRegards
