How is the performance of V2.0 guys? Since its not as powerful as older version, does it still pull strongly?

        Re: Yamaha FZ16 version 2.0

I have got my Black FZ V2.0 this saturday, and I drove it for 70 kms so far. Following are the things that i noticed.

        Pros:
        1. Smooth Engine
        2. Superb comfort ride (also for pillion rider)
        3. Tires more grippy now than the previous version
        4. Stunning Look and Appearance (Sure many people will look at your bike, Guaranteed!)

        Cons:
        1. Doubts over Fuel reading (Dealer itself wasn't sure of it while delivery)
        2. Slow pickup (Hope it gets better soon)
        3. Absence of rear disc brake will hurt many hearts!!!

Overall a perfect stylish commuter. But will fail to satisfy the needs of riders who are looking for power and pickup. Once i'm done riding more kms, I will give an update on the mileage.

Gave mine for his first service today. Have asked them to change oil to synthetic.

Rode some 500 odd kms, so far. Vehicle is comfortable for city ride. Haven't done any long ride except a one day trip to Nandi Hills. Felt he is extremely prone to scratches. He is black.

Synthetic? and they agreed to it? I asked my svc guy and he said it would void the warrantee and also that even SS is not good for my bike.

The Yamaha Service Rep offered me an oil change for either the normal one or a synthetic one. I was informed by the rep that with the synthetic, I may not have to change oil for upto 4000 kms. I chose the option of synthetic.

Nothing like that. Stick to Yamalube till your warranty period, no matter what oil they put.

                    Cheerz!!

AFAIK, Yamalube is either Mineral (for FZ) and Semi-Synthetic (for R15), they don't have Synthetic oils as of now. What grade of oil have you put? If it is 15W50, that oil is Semi-Synthetic and not Syntetic oil. IMO, stick to the oil recommended for FZ.

                    Cheerz!!
The real beauty lies in throttle's twist!!

Headlight can be replaced, Head cannot be. Wear a helmet.

Im not sure on the oil that they have added, but yes I did it at the official service center, leaving me with the feel that the oil used would be recommended for FZ V2.0?

But yes, let me check with them when I visit the center the next time.

                      Thanks buddy.

FYI, some SVC's don't even bother to put the recommended oil for FZ. They simply put the one recommended for R15, because it is costlier than FZ's oil. Check the invoice and you will come to know what oil have they put.

I got my service done today. Yamahalube 20w40 was used including oil filter and lubrication, it costed me 510. Engine now feels more smooth at high revs and my fuel consumption is coming at about 44kmpl

Yamalube mineral is not that suitable for fz16. I personally experienced it. The engine feels rough after 400 to 500 kms.

                              Completed 800+ Kms on My FZ-S V2.0

I did the run-in properly before 1st service (kept the rpm range around 4500 as recommended by Yamaha)
The ride so far is extremely comforting.
                              Smooth engine performance
Returns a mileage of around 50kmpl after 1st service
Nice grunty sound at higher rpms (due to FI system)
Took the speed upto 95kmph once (around 7000 rpm), felt like a breeze
