Re: Yamaha FZS FI ver 2.0: My first bike and the journey so far
I don't find it struggling after the 1st service. Just did 0-80 in 4th gear, engine roaring like any other FI bike. It was overwhelming. The bike gains power with more miles put in. You have to be patient in the run in though. Once the engine breaks in properly, you will notice no lack of power. Given that its a 149 cc bike, expecting performance of a 200 cc would be a bit funny

Read my previous posts.. But for reference I will quote again.
Mileage pre-service was around 40 kmpl, post service I am getting around 50 kmpl

And yeah, the tank is a scratch magnet.

Re: Yamaha FZS FI ver 2.0: My first bike and the journey so far
I have a Hunk double disc version. It has mileage problems put performs extremely well in other areas. I want to know if I can expect similar performance as the Hunk is also 149cc.Originally posted by TheNewKid View PostI don't find it struggling after the 1st service. Congratulations for the Beast bro. I will recommend you again to control till the Break-in period. you will thank yourself later in the ownership.

Re: Yamaha FZS FI ver 2.0: My first bike and the journey so far
The Service Center guys were very proactive here in Hyderabad. i just gave them the usual instructions. My fuel meter was not working properly earlier, they fixed it. I could instantly feel the change in performance after the service. Just make sure they do everything mentioned in the service manual for the 1st service. If you can stay for the service, get it done in front of your eyes by the book.

BTW have you done any "Teflon" coating in your bike?? Yamaha dealer advised me against all these coating. They told me only to wax the bike after washing. BTW how much did you get it for?

I didn't get the teflon coating. Will get it done maybe after 5-6 months. As of now will use the wax polish by 3M. Costed me 92k on road
