Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Yes I too feel engine oil leaking is common problem in this bike specially first lot,mine too leaking it but not much to that extent. Suzuki should have taken a sumoto & have recalled the faulty bikes on there own. You should file a complaint at Suzuki two-wheelers website .Originally posted by HeManu Yeluri View PostMy bike number TS09Ed7141. Invoice Date 16052016,number 576. Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Keep checking oil levels constantly . This is a heavy leakage , also clean the area atleast. The dirt and sand will make things worse.Originally posted by HeManu Yeluri View PostSee the pic, after service it became much worse than before
Clean area using kerosene / Dishwash Liquid. Then ride bike for 1 km or so and see the source of leakage
To me its looks like either bore gasket or the crankcase gasket went out. Probably the latter . If its the bore gasket then, Half the engine needs to come out.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
My heart broke after seeing leakage from Suzuki. It could have been issue with few bikes.
My older Pulsar 150 having this issue. But I know Bajaj have this problem from ages.
I have 1 year old Gixxer done 10000+ kms. Still no sign of leakage (touchwood).
Even my friend having ages old Suzuki Fiero that also doesn't have any leakage. But he drive very less. Just on weekends to market 1-2kms only.

I Have cleaned many times and fed up. i left as it is for SVC. See my reply to suzuki after their respond to my above feedback:
I don't have time, its not only my f**king job to get my bloody two wheeler getting servicing like a cancer patient to roam around hospitals. i really lost interest on my bike now. i given complaint to know your management and serve better to other customer. more over its not first time, its 2nd time, you repeat the same. at 1st service only i had to visit 3 times for some pipe issue, which causing unexpected stops on rides. luckily your engineers were there that time, they only fixed it. its not even your mistake or mechanics. they are not well trained on gixxer. now i cant travel that long n bike less for days by giving bike to svc.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
@ALL
It seems to be OEM specific issue rather than customer issue. The leakage source seems to be this cap on top of crankcase, the one which has a black wire coming from it. Probably it will have an o ring which is going bad due to oil pressure increase. Buy 3-4 rings in spare and replace when it goes bust. At present you can use a small layer of RTV sealant around o ring for proper seal . Also check oil levels constantly as it will cause more problems.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Are You absolutely sure ?? Its highly improbable from that spot to leak until and unless bore is removed.Originally posted by HeManu Yeluri View Postit started here @ Yellow color marked
Only solution is to replace bore gasket.
Again you need to be very sure if that's the location

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
1. I don't know if an R15 fairing can be installed to the Gixxer, but look at the pic I have posted below, they have installed Gixxer SF engine guard to naked Gixxer.Originally posted by Mustaq View PostHi Guys,
A friend is interested in getting a new bike who is in chennai, he asked me a couple to questions. I just need advise from yo guys.
1.) He would like to know whether we will be able to fit R15 fairing on suzuki gixxer or gixxer sf. If not, also suggest any other fairing or front doom light can be modified/fit on gixxer/gixxer sf. What will be the mileage of sf rear disk variant. As he is not okay with the sf front doom
2.) What will be mileage of the bike after one year
3.) Has anyone tried fitting ABS to gixxer/sf. If so what will be cost of fitting of ABS on both the wheels.
4.) I also have a plan to buy normal gixxer, since it gives more mileage than sf. So can i fit sf fariing to the naked bike,. So what is the cost and will the mileage get decreased if I fit on a fariring.
Thanks in advance for your advise.
2. 40-43 KMS ( for a well-mainted one
)
3. Fitting a complete dual-channel ABS is nearly a herculean task, Many mechs claim that its nearly impossible to fit an ABS system as they have no proper experience with it. you need to fit speed sensors on both wheels and connect them to the HECU ( hydraulic electronic and control unit ) which regulates brake oil pressure acting on both brake calipers using its in-built pump. After installing, you need to be aware that ECU error may crop up. Honda charges nearly Rs. 430/- for a simple ABS computer error removal on the CBR250R.
4. Really?. Gixxer SF gives more mileage than naked Gixxer as it has a wind-tunnel tested full fairing. ( But I like the Naked Gixxer More
)
