    Congratulations!

But you paid 5500 too much for a basic jacket that offers no protection. That is NOT a riding jacket sir and should have cost you less than 1000 to be frank.
You have armor/protection for the back, ribs, shoulders, elbows and arms in an actual riding jacket.
    Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Should have brought a CE certified armour or a rynox mesh jacket. Their helmet prices are also too much , for 1950 I got the Studds Shifter decor D3 green and their Studds motocross one costs 2150 😣. The best seat covers till date by a manufacturer are of those Bajaj Caliber(hodibaba) ones, pure leather no Rexine and costed just 250 bucks. Although in summer bums got fried but quality was 👌.

Does it have armour? or is it just a jacket? Does it have inner layers? Also, what is the material used? There seems to be no mesh. Can you please post a pic of the bill?

No offense, but it seems, from the pics, to be an ordinary jacket without any armour. Look at the zipper. So based on the looks, Rs.6500 is too much. DSG Evo costs you Rs.4750, and for 6,500 you may find Spartan and even RJAY'S.

If you have bought the whole kit i.e., Jacket, Shirt, t-shirt, cap, helmet, seat cover, skid plate and all that for Rs.6500, then it may be a good buy. Please let us know.

The helmets are worthless, as i have commented before in previous threads. An off road helmet for racing bike??!!

Anyway, it seems Suzuki has failed providing quality accessories and paraphernalia.

Yes I do agree...its senseless even my brother still couldn't digest that I've shelled out Rs. 6500/- for that jacket. But I was looking for some suzuki mechandise in the first place( I have a 2002 Suzuki MAX100R and my Father has a 2000 Suzuki Fiero and the 1984 IND-Suzuki AX100 ( JAPAN ) and I'm planning to buy the Suzuki Gixxer ( BAQ ) ( Rear Disc ) )...and this jacket had stuck in my heart....I do plan to buy another Suzuki Jacket which I think is a proper one with shoulder protection and all the necessary stuff. Like this one...this advertisement is published in the April-May 2016 issue of XBHP Magazine....and that Kushithani Leather Jacket is available only in Suzuki Big Bike dealers in India. In case of chennai SMK Suzuki in Porur is the only one given in the advert.

However, I find your statement that the Jacket is worth less than Rs. 1000/- to be absurd and vicious.

yes I agree with your point of view I'm just looking for some Suzuki merchandise and I'm not planning to use any of their stuff. Suzuki has another riding jacket which I think is a proper one, I have posted the picture of that ad in my previous reply.

              1. No it does not have any armour ( look at the Kushithani Leather Jacket Pic I have posted that I think is a Proper One )

              2. Yes, I understand its senseless to shell out that much. ( please read my reply to Divya Sharan in this same post )

              3. No Just the Jacket.

              4. Yes the Helmets are worthless. I have bought it just for collection, not for usage.

              5. I have posted a pic of the bill cover....do you really want to see the printed bill?.

I still remember TVS-Suzuki marketing the Fiero as 'India's First Computer-Controlled Bike'. The Digital Ignition System came first on the fiero, then only it came on the victors and scootys. The CV Carburettor on the Fiero is also a first, a year after Bajaj introduced the pulsar twins( NON-DTS-i and Single Spark ) with CV Carbs.

I will definetly try contacting Suzuki...

I tried getting a Shogun which is on sale here at XBHP during my college days for Rs. 24,000/- but my father refused. The Shaolin ( Blue-Colour ) is my dream bike during my school days. Currently I'm in the process of acquiring the OEM Instrument Cluster assembly of both the Shogun and Shaolin.

Sure I will post the pic of my collection one day....

I think the Gixxer is much better estabished than what the Fiero had managed....Fiero's engine is a gem, over-square ( same bore/stroke size ) flat-torque curve ( instant delivery of power at any gear / any rpm ) without any vibrations at all even at the red-line. Fiero's engine is the base platform for the entire apache series. ( the external oil-pipe on the right side of the cylinder can easily be seen on the apache family as well ). Not to mention the Fiero is a racing legend.

But other than the performance and popularity among enthusiast bikers, the Fiero can't establish itself among the mainstream costomers like the MAX100R and Samurai. Gixxer is very well established among every category and easily edges over its direct rivals the Yamaha FZv2.0 and the Honda Hornet 160R. Gixxer is also used in racing as well.

                      ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

I'm posting some snapshots of the Kushitani Leather Jacket which suzuki uses in its promotional video for the Gixxer and Gixxer SF Rear Disc Brake variants

Don't you think if a simple jacket ( non armoured) of suzuki costs ₹6500/- then that leather jacket from suzuki will cost very high and I think at that costs some high quality riding gears can be bought. I know you are a suzuki fan but if we think something sensible then there can be better quality stuff outside suzuki merchandise.

This is why i asked for the bill. I wanted to know what was the product description in the bill.

And yes! Fiero-Pulsar-CBZ era was a golden period. Fiero - the executive commuter. i remember the ad :: guys in suits riding fiero through flames... Before Fiero, of course, Shogun and Shaolin were the dream bikes of those days... not to forget the Samurai...the no problem bike. Suzuki never disappointed the consumers with their product. Suzuki fiero is even now a sought after bike for racing events. The dream run of fiero ended once TVS and Suzuki parted.

Gixxer is much more evolved, well targeted bike. Second coming for Suzuki. However one major flaw, which i feel, is that Suzuki has not been able to transfer their product philosophy to the guys down at the service centers. Service at most of the SVCs is disappointing and abysmal. Most of you might agree. Here at Kochi, there were two, and one has wound up...leaving the Gixxers with no other choice.

True! Gixxer edges over its direct rivals the Yamaha FZv2.0 and the Honda Hornet 160R. I hear this everyday at the parking lot, from my friend who owns a Hornet. (FZ guys don't talk.,.they just ogle at my Gixxer)

I hope and wish you'll be able to lay your hands upon the jacket soon.... Happy Riding!

Hello.. Anyone from Mysore suggest good SVC? KPR SVC opposite to Apollo sucks. They haven't been able to rectify my issue which is engine gets a breadth when I close the throttle and open again. Also there is jerkiness in power delivery and vibrations post 70kmph. Any other guys facing the same issue? I complained about this issue twice but to vain. I'm upset and thinking to sell this nice bike just for pathetic after sale service.
