I got my gixxer (dual tone dual disc) delivered today, that was a lot of duals. The thing is I didn't get the number for the bike yet and I was thinking of going on a longish trip tomorrow. The dealer said I could drive the bike for 180 kms without the number being assigned, is that true? (I am from Bangalore).

    First of all, Congratulations!

Secondly, don't take unnecessary risk... The bike will have a temp regn. for movement from godown to showroom/office etc. for a limited period. Without number plate, there are lots of risks. What about insurance? You can't insure without regn.

Yes, I missed first 2 service, so the showroom people said so, but now they said no issues if I service it there only from now on regularly, thing is it costs 300 per paid service here, but I opted extra warranty because if the digital meter goes kaput 2k + , if bore , piston, most important shock absorber goes awry it's 3-5k . so additional warranty is must, whole engine is covered except gaskets and rubber seals.☺

AFR SCREW no of turns is not mentioned anywhere in the service manual. Just had a glimpse as all the people went for lunch. It's written , remember the no of turns before opening the screw, 🙏 to Suzuki manuals. Didn't take any pics as my phone lacks autofocus.

Yes, In the service center itself, if you have an autofocus phone, you can try asking them to give it to you for some pics, but I doubt that they will give. I did it while no one was there, lunch time, I read the fuel supply and saw the carburetor dismantling diagrams.

The same is true for GS150R Workshop Manual. However, on the last few pages labelled "Service Data/Specifications", it was "2 turns out" for GS. Similarly, I think GSX150 (Gixxer's) value should also be mentioned in the last few pages/specs.

you might have seen my chain-sprocket pics on the previous page ( 612 ). Initially they showed me a boxed chain-sprocket kit as the Gixxer's kit and later apologized that it was GS150R's then they took nearly half-an hour to find the Gixxer's kit as the Gixxer's component's come seperately, then some senior person had to step in and check the part numbers of the components in their spare-parts section's computer to confirm that it is the Gixxer's kit. During that time I gone through the parts catalogue of both the Gixxer and Gixxer SF they had kept in the buying window. they were in war-torn condition. and I noticed that the words GSX150 mentioned on both of them.

Note:- Speaking of parts catalogue, did you have indian motorcycle's catalogue?. I do have some catalogues ( Official Company Catalogue )
