Happy birthday to your post....Originally posted by elangoas View PostHi guys,
Been a year since I posted here.. [emoji52]
Completed 9th Bonus service and abt to clock 32,000 Kms on my Gixxer...
So far the bike has been a gem and am extremely satisfied with its performance[emoji1] [emoji106]
Jokes apart....your getting the bonus service since you have completed each and every service
May i ask which things were changed during the non-free services and their costs?
And are they bonus services free like the first 4?
And how is your bike after 1 year of long term usage

Yes.. Since my usage is 70 Kms a day, I completed all the service ahead of schedule...
Bonus service (9th Service) is free iff when you have completed all the free & paid services on time... (Extra free serv)
During paid services, bill was approx 1,000 Rs.. (service labour + engine oil + lubricants) and any additional stuff if reqd...
So far
- Have replaced spark plug twice.
- Replaced disc brake rotor under warranty.
- Clutch coil replaced twice under warranty as oil leakage...
- Suspension set to Hard - 4
- Due fork oil replacement..
- Tyre due for replacement...
Itz great.. 70kms of commuting/day on weekdays... Slight rattling noise from rear mudguards...

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Until 7th service Motul 10w40 mineral oil was used by service centerOriginally posted by debargha.kit2 View PostGood to see she still has her charms...have you changed it to 7100?or running on stock oil?

From 8th paid service, service center had changed to same grade Synthetic oil... So using this for the moment...

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Guys.. The back part of the bike.. The number plate especially vibrates a lot on rough roads.. I've removed the the extra guard they they provided as i find it too long.. Any solutions to stop the vibrations? A friend of mine suggested to pull the number plate upwards a bit.. Should i try it?

The company states the mineral oil has a range of 1500 km....how much does the synthetic oil states?and how are your observations regarding the comparison of two oils?Originally posted by elangoas View PostForgot to add...
Have changed the chain sprocket in 8th service (28,000 kms).. I used to clean & lube (Motul) the chain regularly every 1200 Kms on ODO and in between service intervals....

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Hi All,
Recently I've changed to MOTUL10w40 and also I gave bike for 3 service
There is mileage drop from 45 to 40 and throttle is not free it's struggling to reach 75 kmph
Is it because of oil change or any other factors?
RPM Set at 7500
Please suggest me what to be done?
Thank you
Harsha

Its the grade of oil
You have to be specific if its mineral or synthetic or if its given from the svc and how much it costs?
Or is it 5100 or 7100?

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Not sure buddy.. But i guess mineral oil should easily last 4,000 Kms... Synthetic oil probably more.. 7,500 Kms... I have bough 1 ltr of engine oil from the service center to top it up myself when the oil level dips below the low level...Originally posted by debargha.kit2 View PostThe company states the mineral oil has a range of 1500 km....how much does the synthetic oil states?and how are your observations regarding the comparison of two oils?
I think with change to synthetic oil, the heat has come down a bit...
Gear shifts are clunky sometimes...

Depends upon the bike (engine tech, tolerances etc), riding conditions, riding pattern etc to name a few.Originally posted by elangoas View PostNot sure buddy.. But i guess mineral oil should easily last 4,000 Kms... Synthetic oil probably more.. 7,500 Kms...
My observation in the busy streets of Bangalore is that mineral oils don't last more than 2000-2200 km and synthetics maybe twice as much.Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

May be that was the reason, that authorized service centers switched to synthetic oil's..Originally posted by Divya Sharan View PostDepends upon the bike (engine tech, tolerances etc), riding conditions, riding pattern etc to name a few.
