Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Same feeling here. Been away from my Gixxy since 2weeks. Whenever another gixxer passes with its grunting exhausts, my heart sinks deep and my hands start twiching![emoji16]Originally posted by srinath2494 View PostAnyone feels low when they spend a day away from their suzuki? :3 :/ Like it's right in front of your eyes wrapped up in rain cover but there is some work preventing you from going to it and kick it on! :/ And after completing the work you are so exhausted to remove the cover to ride your bike. Darkness spreads over and people around you stop you from going out and have some fun in the night.
All I hear is that don't go gently deep into that night for there's tomorrow.
GRRRRR.....!The sense of freedom these two wheels give can never be matched by anything else...

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
At what KM is second service scheduled ? Mine it is written as 3.5k-4k kilometers.Originally posted by eddyjamerson View PostHello all Gixxer owners...
Just a little update. I'm taking my Infernus (named her that!) for her 2nd service on Sunday. Apart from chain cleaning and general service, what precautions must I take? The odo reads a little over 2K.
Thanks & ride safe!
BTW after first service took the ride to my native. On highways riding is super comfortable and there are slight wind blast here and there. One thing I am wondering is that how the hell Suzuki managed to avoid vibrations even at 100kmph ? Seriously. I am not exaggerating. Its a fact. I have been driving since last 10 years may be. Never seen a bike without vibrations on highway at higher RPMs. Most comfortable cruising speed is 80-90. Engine not at all felt stressed. Milage returned was around 50kmpl which is more than good IMO. City milage is around 55+. Started to fill fuel from only one company rather than from many. It helps.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Agreed the manual recommends 3.5k-4k kilometers for 2nd service, but I have done 120 days of ownership so I have to get it done before the due date. My work does not permit me to ride a lot often so I haven't touched the magical ton till now. The max i have taken her is 70kph, and I get 50 to the liter in city.Originally posted by Jithesh Kt View PostAt what KM is second service scheduled ? Mine it is written as 3.5k-4k kilometers.

Just wanted to know what other things can be done in second service apart from chain clean/lube. I don't think replacing fluids and filters is necessary with just 2000 km on the clock!

Seriously how many times? I mean, literally, how many more times? :O :O :O if it were ever used and mentioned by any owner, it would appear on the search results if you had known it existed! :P
And for a millionth time, please stick to stock, atleast till the bike gets old enough!!!!

My friend gets constantly 59kmpl on his gixxer white color which is just about to get 2000km old.
Previously he owned a duke and he constantly got an average of 43kmpl. On highways, it gave a mileage of 53kmpl.
Now should I say his ROM was stolen from god's own gixxer? :P :P
In my view, it depends on three things.
1. Luck.
2. Patience.
3. And the owner's style of riding specific to the geographical area.
At this juncture I should say he was the best lover of all his bikes and gave them the best attention possible that any owner can. He has amazing riding skills and I learnt a lot about riding and maintaining bikes everytime I rode with him! Sadly, he is missing in this forum and is reluctant to indulge in online activities.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
guys... the engine kill switch is acting funny nowadays... at times the bike doesn't start at all(both self start & kick) in the "ON" position. When i toggle it or press it further the engine starts...
Anyone else facing this issue with the engine kill switch..??
