Catalytic converter cleaning isn't the only reason for the deterioration of the sound. It isn't essential at this stage, either. I just told that its a potential factor for the same.

Got it. One more thing- I cleaned the chain and applied lube about 250 kms back.its been raining often and now I realise the chain has become completely clean. Its like d surrounding area is covered with mud and the chain has no lube and cleaned by spraying water. Is it that the lube can't withstand heavy water splashing. I need to then do this every 200 kms and be watchful.my old mechanic told me to apply normal oil as it will last long in this rainy season.

Most of the new age bikes come with a sealed exhaust. If you want to clean the internals, you would need to cut open it with help of roadside mechanic/lathe.
For relatively new bike like yours, silencer/Cat con cleaning is not in the scope at all! It won't get blocked so soon unless you have an engine that is burning oil or a carb with very rich setting.
Don't bother much about it now, just ride on

Please suggest me with fixes or suggestion

          Thanks

Nothing to worry, it is due to the diesel+ water wash which they do at servicing.. Brakes will be back to normal once they are heated up. Just be careful for the first 5-10km.

Booked a Black Gixxer for my Nephew from SMK Suzuki Porur today.

As we have already purchased 5 bikes from SMK since 2010, the sales rep whom I know for last 4 years was ok to give some free accessories.

Could not negotiate much as the demand of the bike was on higher side.

Paying the entire amount tomorrow and getting the bike registered & delivered on Monday..

Anything I need to know before I take delivery ?

Also today I interacted with a Gixxer rider on road and he told that Gixxer has a stiff suspension causing back ache and the underbelly scraps all the speed breaker on road when riding with a pillion.

Is there something I need to change or should I request showroom guys to tight disk break.??

So, I just need to pull the clutch tight if I face an issue regarding self start , which I am currently now isn't it?

I've been having an issue with the bike lately.

It sometimes turns off after idling for 2 mins on cold starts. And then it refuses to start. It happened three times now. It cranks, but refuses to start. At first I thought maybe it's a spark plug issue. Yesterday though while cranking the bike starts a little bit unstable, sputters and the engine dies. So I guess it's fuel starvation. I took it to a mechanic yesterday, but by the time I reached there, the bike was fine.

                    What could be the problem?

                    Odo reading: 5656 kms.

Kilometres doesn't matter bro. The amount and number of braking matters. It'll take around 2-3 days to be almost back to normal. Make sure you use the brakes more than you normally use. You should feel the change. If you don't, ask nearby mech or svc to clean the brake pads and disc and then fit.

Experienced the same thing 2 times during the early morning startups.

Dont know the reason had to use choke for starting at those times.

Classic cold start issue in carb equipped bikes. Once you do 2-3 KMS the fuel lines and combustion chamber are warmed enough for normal operation.

But one time, I did 1 km after idling for 1 minute and the engine died. Didn't start for the next 20 mins even with choke.

Congrats! SMK seems to be a better dealer compared to other suzuki dealers in Chennai.

                              Check for the following:

                              1. Scratches on the bike. In and out.
                              2. ODO meter reading less than 10km.
                              3. Engine oil, brake oil levels.
                              4. If you have opted for teflon coating, then double check if its done.
                              5. Check the brakes, accelerator play and clutch play.
                              6. Most importantly check if all the documents are perfect. At the time of purchase, this includes insurance papers(all the pages and forms), vehicle invoice, statement of account including all accessories break up and details, delivery note, extended warranty booklet if you have applied for, user manual, a duplicate key and all free service coupons sealed by the dealer.
                              7. Check for proper working of the instrument console, switchgears. Focus on the gear shift indicator before you take the delivery.
                              8. Check if the engine is free revving, slowly and gradually.
                              9. Fill petrol asap after taking the delivery.
                              10. Some showrooms don't do the stickering on number plates. So check if its done or get it done immediately outside. You don't want to be stopped by cops on the very first day.
                              11. Check if all the lights, indicators and electricals are fine.
                              12. Cross check the engine and chassis number once again although they do it. Check if the bike is a new one. Anyway after registration you can't change it and mostly they would give you one from the lot manufactured after May.
                              13. Check if all the accessories you have opted for are fitted and proper break up of cost is provided for the same.

The bike's suspension is perfect for everyday use and the view is relative. Maybe the rider you spoke with used a bike with softer suspensions. It seems to be adequate and can even ride on bad roads. I find this one plush compared to my older ride. Yes, you need to slow down considerably to avoid scraping the belly of the bike on speed breakers if you are with a pillion. But that's inherently a problem with the bike and only the company can provide a solution. You can set the suspension depending on your preference later on, if you find the factory settings tight. And only the rear suspension can be changed.
