Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Yup..I did not buy the OEM engine guard from Suzuki...which is made of Fibre and is quite Large....which destroys the overall aesthetic of the bike!..it costs around Rs.300...The Engine Guard which i installed is aftermarket metal engine guard of Suzuki Samurai..which costed me Rs.120!..As you stated serves the purpose...does sync well with the bikes styling!Originally posted by srinath2494 View Post

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
thanks for your valuable suggestions. i dropped out idea of changing clutch and break lever.
in the mean time. this engine guard would be wise addition. i just have one question do we have to wield metal sheet or we can fix it with some screws.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
When I side stand the bike and move the handle bar to complete right ,my engine doesn't idle for long and goes off. And vibrations reach handle bar till 3k and then if even revved harder there are no vibes on handle bar at same position. All this phenomena happens when bike is in reserve and just after warmup though.
Did this happen to anybody?

Yes, am facing the exact same issue and after first servicing the issue has become more consistent. Though no solution yetOriginally posted by ldkaj444 View PostDid anyone face self start problem, bike's self start button just doesn't respond as if ignition is turned off . Did any one face it ?

Can anyone point on how to adjust the headlight throw of gixxer?

If you're stuck in traffic and want to self start and it doesn't respond . Do it when in gear instead of neutral bro. This worked for me thoughOriginally posted by sam916 View PostYes, am facing the exact same issue and after first servicing the issue has become more consistent. Though no solution yet

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Also happens due to faulty clutch switch. Next time it happens, simply pull in the clutch lever even if you're in neutral. The bike will start.Originally posted by ldkaj444 View PostIf you're stuck in traffic and want to self start and it doesn't respond . Do it when in gear instead of neutral bro. Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
The bike will start with power start ONLY WHEN the clutch is pulled EVEN IN NEUTRAL. Kick start doesn't require pulling in clutch when in neutral.Originally posted by Divya Sharan View PostAlso happens due to faulty clutch switch. I don't think this would have happened to anyone. Because the combination of the details you said is very unusual for anyone to try. handle to right, fuel knob in reserve, 3k rpm, side stand and vibrations! really, what kind of combination is it? :P :P why would you try this especially?

Oh is that a special safety feature on this bike like in cars? I didn't know of this. Thanks.Originally posted by srinath2494 View PostThe bike will start with power start ONLY WHEN the clutch is pulled EVEN IN NEUTRAL. Kick start doesn't require pulling in clutch when in neutral.

Welcome. Yes! also specified as safety for beginners in first few pages of the manual in how to start the engine/bike section. I hope people actually read the manual book before doing pooja and filling petrol to new bikes :P :P generally telling. Maybe that would reduce the number of posts considerably in the thread :PLast edited by srinath2494; 07-01-2015, 08:35 PM.

Hehehe, yup it is weird indeed but the problem persists . Regarding the combination I don't know how I got that in my mind .Originally posted by srinath2494 View PostThe bike will start with power start ONLY WHEN the clutch is pulled EVEN IN NEUTRAL. Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Divya Sharan looks more like a faulty switch issue to me.
Someone in the forum earlier mentioned that headlight throw can be adjusted by screw provided below the headlight which I think doesn't exists.
Manual says have to unscrew the headlight assembly to adjust which can only be opened by Allen key.

Sorry to interfere.
1. If you're in traffic or anywhere and the bike is in neutral or any other gear, pull in the clutch tight and then use power start.
2. Kick start without clutch pulled in when in neutral and with clutch pulled in when in gear.
3. If none of these works report to SVC immediately. Do not ride with a faulty power start switch. This could be dangerous to you in traffic and to others if your bike stops abruptly. If the switch in the clutch is faulty, then they would replace it/ the lever or look for any problems in the power start button. Also if you're bike is new, you can avail warranty.Last edited by srinath2494; 07-01-2015, 09:09 PM.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
No need of welding...It can be installed by screws..as i stated before there is an empty slot for the screw!Originally posted by probike View Postthanks for your valuable suggestions. i dropped out idea of changing clutch and break lever.
