Hi guys. Sad news.. I met with an accident and fell from the bike. Got few scraches on the bike and got replaced them. Now the bike is as good as new. But becoz of the accident, front fork was out of alingment. Handle and the front weel is not align properly. So the SVC guys realign them by kicking in the front weel and adjusting the nuts nd bolts of front fork. They adjusted it to the eye by looking at the front weel and the handle bar. Then they gave me the bike for a test drive. I noticed a small misalingment and got it adjested again. That time it felt ok. But now i feel theres a little misalingment and it bugs me a lot. So Could anyone plz tell me how to aling the front forks with the front weel correctly..

Hey. Sad to hear about the accident. Please be careful. Even my handle is misaligned and bent from an accident. The svc replaced entire handle and took it to some other svc where they have some setup for handle alignment. Still I don't feel they got it 100% and do feel a 5% difference. But none of my friends feel the same when I ask them if they feel any difference.

You could try asking a local mechanic to examine if there is any misalignment. If he says yes, you can ask the same svc or take it to any other svc.

Hey all. I'll be leaving my bike for the first service this Saturday. Anything specific that I should tell to the SVC guys to look into/do? By the way, the bike is damn smooth but the horn is a real pony so I would like to change it. Any suggestions on that?

          Ride safe.

Most service centers won't do anything during the free service, they will water wash, polish and give it back. Check oil, braking, gearing, lights and other parts. Take a drive after service if something misses out, confront them to redo it.

Thanks bro.. SVC people say its alined correctly, but I feel a little difference. I went through a youtube video and it explains how to align correctly. I feel like doing it myself at home. Dont knw what to do. Still thinking.

Does Gixxer SF come with the same horn as that of a Gixxer? I ask this because one of my friend told me that Gixxer SF's horn sounds much better than Gixxer. I thought maybe because of those fairings it sounds different and powerful. I could be wrong that's why I'm asking you guys.

Completed the first service for my black Gixxer. It cost Rs. 629. When I gave the bike to the SVC guys, I asked one guy which engine oil they were gonna pour in and he replied Castrol. I was like, people say Motul is the best for Gixxer and even Suzuki recommends it then he said "Yeah, we'll put Motul". The bike is smoother than before and gear shifting is much better but I feel there is a minute lag in pick up. Anyway, this is the price breakdown for the first service.

                          Consumables - Rs. 50
                          Engine Oil - 10w40 - Rs. 308
Filter, Eng Oil - Rs. 42
CO Checkup Charges - Rs. 50
                          Chain Lube/Clean Charges - Rs. 150

I have no idea what the consumables mean here. Could that be some type of additives? And they haven't mentioned the brand of the engine oil. Does anyone know how much a Motul 10w40 Mineral oil cost?
