I rode mine for 6hrs straight without break 530km cruising 95-100kmph . Engine is good robust one, only problem I experience is with self start which takes time to start after revving the engine high continuously during the ride.
The guy talked about the engine stress, not POWER. Power delivery would be there but the engine will feel strained coz it will be revving high.

Facing trouble in starting an engine after a long run indicates an overheated engine. Gixxer is an amazing machine but remember its an air cooled 150cc.

      Just a notice.

I am posting this because I'm trying to find people in Chennai who can actually ride during weekends for breakfast and recreation, say around 200 km radius around Chennai to start with.

My group of friends had to shift to other cities and I am in search of people who can form a group. I'm slowly recovering from a couple of ailments and I had a huge gap in between because of the same. I'll be done with my college by the end of April and so I am planning to start my riding from May or June. I wish to form a neat and professional group which has members following traffic and safety guidelines. I'd be more than happy if you guys are experienced and/ or have done tours on your bikes.

It'd be a great way to bond, learn and explore!

I'm also planning on inviting some RE, FZ and other bike riders through known contacts so that there is no scope to race or stray away from cruising - in short, bikes that can maintain comparable speeds and have similar equipment.

Interested riders please let me know through a personal message and we shall discuss it over phone soon.

      See you guys!

I just answered the same question on Hornet thread.

I have a reason why I'm not posting this there. The problem is all kinds of bikes take part in it and to start afresh for me, I wanna do only short rides with speeds not more than 80-85 kmph. Plus, I am taking a month off to service my bike and also get back my lost riding gears - jacket to be specific. So I can't attend immediate rides too.

Got my bike serviced today. 3rd free service @ 570.

This time they added Carbon Cleaner.

Took my baby for a little spin post the service and found no outright changes which is a good thing.

Overall, I am glad choosing Gixxer as my baby!

Yeah! It's kinda some additive that flushes out carbon deposits from engine. I don't know if it's legit or a sham.
