Guys I bought my gixxer on August 20th, for first 800kms bike smooth, handling and everything seems to be fine, and then I gave for service in smk Suzuki Porur they changed oil, oil filter and adjusted the brakes after that I had a problem like lost my beautiful bike best like bite of brake, handling Road grip mileage, and informed the same to them they again got serviced still it had same problem, one of the great lost is bike performance while riding with pillion it reduces have no pickup which is not acceptable has this is 155cc. And from 2nd day of my purchase rear tyre has a issues like automatic air leak it use become empty as of like puncture, it had this 4 times and last 2 days back tyre had a puncture and did normal puncture which cost 100rs, and I visited mrf tyre in ekkaduthangal and they checked the tyre and once they removed tyre inside of it there was an tester rod which teared my tire and was said no claims can be done with warranty and that tester rod damaged my rim inside and that straight tester become bend and also got advice for mushroom patch, from yesterday my bike is feeling like bumpy I always travel with my girlfriend, so if do patch my tyre with all become normal? Else I should go a head and put around 3500rs for replacing the new tyre? Is it possible to resell my bike which I bought it in finance Hdfc Bank? What should I do guys this is my moms gift and my first bike in my life and before buying did a lot of research and then only buyed it it also has some tiny rust formation in engine, now I hate my bike which hurt me alot which I loved more than my mom, lover,I feel dislike to ride it, I especially bought this bike only for my girlfriend without her why should I ride in single and riding with her makes bike no performance at all, she weighs 89kg and I weigh for 68kg,please advise me guys feel like depressed and dono what to do with it, please apologise for my bad English

Which 150 cc bike pulls fast with a pillion? I don't find so much performance drop with pillion.. Its a bit less tho but not something that will make it slow... Regarding tyre.. Get it replaced and also check the tyre pressure of both..

Yes, but under the seat...You need to remove the seat and you will find a hook.
            I have attached a snapshot.

Ok, that shows how much you love your bike, but I hope this is just for the sake of showing your love for your bike. But, Mom is best than any thing in world, anything is everything. Of topic, ok I'd advice before you quit, did you try other service center?. First do it. Sometime best service man will be working at a small service station too.

Road grip - This could be the tire problem which you have mentioned, which sadly I hope does not come under warranty. Replace the same as stock and your bike will be back in action

Handling - Better the tire and handling will be better and confident. Change the above as said and it'll be back to action.

Loss of pickup - AFR ruining (tuning). The svc guys might have tuned the carburetor (if you had asked for pickup or complained for poor mileage). This usually happens with every SVC. Either improper rich or lean mixture configuration will result in loss of pickup. Also consider you and your pillion weight, 150cc bike has it's limit. Everyone's "My bike's pickup is good" will be different than your pickup. Hope you know.

Resell - All said issues can be fixed. esp a single tire change will improve a lot and a revisit to maybe another svc can help with loss of pickup. I don't recommend reselling unless you have got a completely faulty product from making (Sometimes it happens say 1 in 1000 or more, like some mobiles).

HDFC Bank Loan - It's a pain in your back. Because now the bike has been under loan, it's under Hypothecation and you need to foreclose it before you can sell it. It's even nor registered under your name which is bad for selling. For that you can do two things.
              1. Pay the remaining balance and get the document (you may also get some pre closure interests), re-register to the buyer's name ans sell him and get cash
              2. Get the money from the buyer (as per your selling amount) and use it to close the loan, but the buyer mostly won't like this as they expect the bike instantly after giving money to you.

I'd advice, stick with this bike, try to fix the issues. After all life is full of trouble, do we quit simply?. Visit a different and a reputed svc and try to fix issue. If it doesn't escalate to Suzuki India and report the issue. Im sure they will respond well than Bajaj or Honda.

              Regards

Bro thank you so much for your sincere advice and very helpful information and hearty thanks for understanding problem which those guys not able too, and I'm not interested to sell only my words and angryness but from heart I still feel love my bike, and I'm no more willing to pay 3500 rs for tyre because to be frank my salary itself 12k and paying almost 5k for due in this situation how can I buy tyre by avoiding giving my rest salary to my mom which I promised a while back for buying this bike which hearting me daily, so what I need clear idea and piece of information as you did reply for my previous post, please tell me if I do mushroom patch which cost 300rs will it be normal as a normal tyre? Will my handling come back? Also please tel me my pickup is low so naturally I should good mileage rite? But I'm getting very less, also please note that as I do love this bike from my heart I'm not in need to rev 70 or 80kmph, I use it around 50 to 60kmph only because of love and care also respecting sincerely so I should get atleast 50+ kmpl rite? Also the braking is not as good as it use to be previously but after service it's all vent into vain both front and back brakes. Also tell me my daily routine coverage is 65km exactly from my home to office with pillion who weighs as I said 89kg and my 68kg and I ride at with in 50 to 60kmph so advice me on mileage for achieving 50+ which I need very importantly, thank you and sorry for my bad English

Did I read it correctly, you got a full screw driver inside your Tyre that's wearied ,I hope your Gf don't have any heart broken secret admirer who would have done this .

On serious note regarding pick up issue, drop a mail to Suzuki on there official website they will make sure you get this issue sorted out by your service center .

single Patch from inside of Tyre wont cause any issue ,I have gone through a web site where they tested Fz16 bike Tyre for performance change by putting multiple puncture strips after intentionally puncturing it and they came to conclusion that it dosent matter.

Bro, even I had exactly same issues, drop in mileage and pickup, but no issues with tyre....Till 600 kms the bike was awesome and after the 1st service some issues which throw me in a very depressed mood, after then my friend advised me to do something which solved my issues...

#1.) PICKUP: I read 2 or 3 post of yours, you mentioned you rev your bike in 50's and 60's not in 70's and 80's which means you ride in high gears at low speed( If I am right), due to this your bike gets adjusted itself to this condition i.e., intake of fuel will be reduced, which will reduce the pickup but increase the mileage but for you, you also have issues with mileage let come to the mileage issue later.
I faced poor pickup issue without pillion and for you with pillion it might be a somewhat more.
For gaining pickup do this: Start riding your bike at high speed with low gears, for this you need not rev your bike harder or riding at very high speed with low gears is not required, 70's and 80's is very normal for 150cc bikes, riding in 70's and 80's doesn't mean you are harsh riding your bike.
Starting with 1st gear, 13-23 kmph with 2nd gear, 25-45 kmph with 3rd gear, 45-65 kmph with 4th gear and above 65 kmph with 5th gear, doing this may reduce the mileage, but don't worry it will not be to greater extent. I did the same which really solved my pickup issues. Try this without pillion for some days.

#2.) MILEAGE: If you need pickup you need to sacrifice mileage a bit but not to a greater extent...As said above due to low revving of yours you should get more mileage, but you have a pillion weighing 89kg( If I am right) which surely reduces the mileage.
What is the exact mileage you get from your bike???
And on papers the quoted mileage for Gixxer is 50+, it is not compulsory that everyone should get 50+ mileage, there are conditions.
I also read a post in which rider weighing 100kg and pillion weighing 95kg have no issues with pickup, but their mileage may be somewhat low, don't worry about mileage.
Your mileage issue will be rectified in upcoming 2nd and 3rd services, generally bike's mileage increases after 2 to 3 service, so please don't worry about mileage.

For pickup please consider my idea and try that.

                      CHEERS..!![emoji6] [emoji106]

Yesterday was the official launch of the dual tone colours. Hence, there were company personnel and my bike was handed over by them with snaps from their photographer. Might have to check with them to see if I can get the photos.

Bro, I understand your concern. Hard things happen always. Listen up.
                          For mileage

Your bike (Bike + rider + pillion)
                          138 kg + 70 kg + 90KG = ~300 KG for a 150cc, 14 horses engine.

                          Mine,
                          145 kg + 93 kg + 82 kg = ~320 kg for a 200cc, 23 horses engine (Pulsar 200 NS)

So the point is even my bike feels lagging and sluggish in pickup when with pillion gives ~30 kmpl with pillion and on Solo would give easily 38 kmpl. So basically your bike no wonder will take some time to catch up for additional weight and hence you will feel it lagging with pillion. So if you get mileage about 50-55 kmpl on solo, you'd only get hardly 40-45 kmpl on with pillion. That's the truth. If mileage was your only concern (always with pillion) then you shouldn't have chosen a 150cc, maybe like Discover 150 (which is a poor bike, at least ok for mileage) as Suzuki gixxer has good pickup and power, hence mileage will always be little on downside.

For tires, unless the tire gets punctured or torn on to the side walls, you can do any number of patch work. I've read in motobeam article that a typical FZ with upto 16 punctures works still handles well as new. But a single puncture on side wall, game is over.

For pickup, you can consider what

has suggested. Again I'd suggest your to check with some other svc once. If nothing helps, send a mail to suzuki customer care. They will really help you. Goto suzuki support section and find their customer care email ID, send email with your bill and bike details and list the problem you are facing. Also mention the SVC name and location clearly. Put your mobile number too.

Also what you can do is, to report to this forums how max you can get speed in each gear. For eg, say in gear 1, what's the max that you can do and the same in other gears. But do it on open, free roads, say on sunday. Make sure you wear your shoes and helmet. I hope many gixxer owners here already know what their bike will do at each gear. This will necessarily eliminate the pickup or engine issue. Also note, you bike is still in run-in stage, I don't recommend doing this always, but only once.

Your bike engine still has not set well, it'll take 1000-2000 KMs to set. Generally the advice is to not to ride with pillion during the run-in period suggested by the bike manufacturer. Your bike run-in period should be given in your bike manual. Read it first.

But in your case riding without pillion is not possible, but make it possible as other guy suggested. Without proper run-in, the bike engine will not set well and you will have all sort of pickup issues. Try taking your bike solo on weekends, go to moderate traffic area where you can shift gears often and don't exceed >60 kph. Slowly by varying the speed in each gear, stopping the bike once in 30 minutes, starting the bike and let it run on idle for 2-3 mins everyday morning, shifting from 3K RPM to 5K RPM slowly and not to exceed, all these will help to improve the engine performance.

If you ask me why should I do all these?, because Suzuki Gixxer is no commuter only bike, it's an entry level performance bike. Hence the engine needs to be tuned properly.

Note: To know what is run-in and why it is very important, google it and understand why this is needed.

The smell is too overwhelming. Every time i idle that smell is there. Yuck.

Hardly drove the bike for 6-8kms after delivery and bike started choking. Luckily was close to petrol bunk and filled up. Have to complain to dealer don't think they filled 1 litre as promised.

Guys I'm having pain in right ankle and little bit on right shoulder. Is this something to do with my seating posture? I noticed my left wrist was straight while the right wrist was slightly bent toward the left and not straight.
