Interesting claim, how did you conclude that off reading helmets have better protection over full face non motorcross helmets,(assuming same price band).

Because these helmets were designed to tackle with issues while offroading.. So i guess they offer better protection than street ones.. Also i find the offroad helmets are a little bit heavy than street ones..
                Personal opinion though..

Offroad helmets are just that, for "Off road". The Shade above your visor protects from the dust that tend to fall on the Visor while you Off road. There by stopping the dust from blocking your Vision, this is better if you ride on bad roads where there is lot of dust and sand thrown around.

The same shade could be a problem on high ways when u reach above 80 speeds in which the speed of air is high so the shade will tend to lift up from your face. This could be annoying and could turn dangerous when the wind force is too high. So its all based on where you are going to ride.

Again this is what i know. Ride safe/

Its cost 800 rs, i brought it from ebay.in and 50 rs for replacing the bulb from a local mechanic.
As im working at complete night shift, stock bulb lumens is not at all sufficent for me.

Philips xtream H4 is direct fit for gixxer so modification is also not required.

Please see the below link for pic's which i have posted earlier.

Till now i didnt faced any issues and im very happy with this.

Is there any official meet for Chennai Gixxerians for road trips?

Gixxerians from Chennai please reply on this post and the above corresponding post.

I have been using the Vega off road helmet for 6 months I don't see any issue while driving at >80km ,actually it has 2 gaps in between the shade to let the air pass by .Another advantage of having that shade is that it helps me to face off high beam thrown at me by opposite lane cars while riding .
