Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
As far as I know, you needn't worry about the engine heat or vibrations till first service. If you're concerned about the vibrations, ride Duke or some other bike for a minute. Vibrations are negligible on gixxer compared to Duke or pulsar.Originally posted by Siddharth Mehra View PostI bought gixxer in black 4 days ago and its really awesome . This is the first time in my life I bought a new bike . however I noticed that at speed after 35-40 the right side handlebar have some vibrations in comparison to left side regardless in what gear and rpm I'm at, On left side I feel nothing . Is this normal ?
2nd is engine really gets hot , I can't even touch it for more than 2 seconds Is this also normal for new bike ? I never ran the bike more than 4.5rpm @ 60-62Kmph
I personally feel that black is more vulnerable to scratches and swirls . A slight swipe by hands are enough to make permanent swirl marks . I'm thinking to get a Teflon coat after first service but is it worth it
I noticed SVC guys have put marks everywhere with blue and white paint .. engine , disk break , carb , suspension , everywhere ... and this thing put me in doubt that did they give me bike which is used for TEST DRIVE !!

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
After a long time i'm posting some pics of my gixxer.
Initially i started with matt black with glitter for side covers. It is a single wrap without using any heat gun or hair dryer. Really a tough job & this almost consumed nearly 1 hr for wrapping the single side cover. As you can see the difference during night, normal day light & in hot sun
Today again i've done the same on my bike's visor. Looks cool. will post the pic soon.
Very soon my whole bike will be wrapped with vinyl sticker. Bought the materials, instruments that are used for wrapping. I'm going to use transparent matt for white coloured plastic parts.Just follow my shadow.

Try revving while looking at the oil level.Originally posted by SAM47 View PostNot absolutely no budge. There is very slight, and I mean 3-4 mm decrease in oil-levels when the engine is running. As in the picture I had posted earlier, the oil-levels was nearly up to the full mark, while the engine had already run for almost 20 mins. As far as I remember, the oil levels used to go down to the 'low' marker previously. I generally put it on double stand to view the levels. I tried to check the same on my friend's FZ V2.0. But his bike did not even have a window to view the oil levels. [emoji14]
It would be very helpful if you guys could post some pictures showing the oil-level while engine is running.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
It is actually a sticker sheet avbl in wholesale sticker shop. It is stretchable, washable, durable, scratch resistant. This is will prevent the paint dull & scratch.Originally posted by Rahul N View PostPlease explain me in detail about the wrapping sticker, what is it actually?

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Hey guys.. while coming back home yesterday the bike got really jerky.. especially on low speeds.. like i was on a bad road or something but the road was totally fine.. stopped the bike to check for anything stuck on the tyres and found nothing.. rode it anyway and got home.. problem seems to have gone for now.. any ideas what caused it? air pressures were fine
Also have this issue where during braking the bike tends to move to the right side for some reason.. nearly rammed into a stopped car due to it.
And for some reason a pillion on board causes really bad handling at low speeds on this bike seem to be able to carry the same ppl on other bikes without any problems.. anyone else facing these issues?

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Guys
I've following all the post
Few gixxerians have problems (pickup ,speed ..) when pillion is on board
Sometimes I too felt same when riding with pillion
Do we need to check with SVC?
Is it a common issue

Do you warm up the engine before using it after long hours of parking?Originally posted by arehman1507 View Postbike got really jerky.. especially on low speeds..

Try warming the engine up for 20-30 seconds before riding.
Check if choke is working as expected.
Check once more(hard braking) on empty highway(better road conditions).Originally posted by arehman1507 View PostAlso have this issue where during braking the bike tends to move to the right side for some reason..
Are those bikes heavier than Gixxer155?Originally posted by arehman1507 View PostAnd for some reason a pillion on board causes really bad handling at low speeds on this bike; seem to be able to carry the same ppl on other bikes without any problems..
Do those bikes have high pillion seat like Gixxer155?
Low kerb-weight coupled with high pillion seat will affect effective-CoG (Center of Gravity) during turns, leaning...
Change in Power-Weight ratio will affect the performance, esp pick-up(acceleration). Reaching speeds will be slow as acceleration will be low.Originally posted by harshadhulipala5 View PostFew gixxerians have problems (pickup ,speed ..) when pillion is on board
Try to keep RPMs close to 6,000(maxTorque RPM) in 3,4 & 5 gears. While riding try to keep the engine in torque band, say above 4,000 RPM.
Upshift when you're a close to 6,000 RPM & there is point in up-shifting after 6000 RPM for normal riding.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Didnt really warm the engine on that occasion.. Guess that could be the reason..Originally posted by Freak inExile View PostDo you warm up the engine before using it after long hours of parking?

Will update on the braking issue once i get to test it out again.
The bikes ive ridden on without any problems with pillion on board are apache, passion and pulsar 150.. Maybe the high seat makes that big a difference

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
No not required. Actually this is not an issue. Move ur bike in correct gear. Additional info will be given if you explain clearly.Originally posted by harshadhulipala5 View PostGuys
