Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Yup i hold full clutch. I'll drive for one week and next Saturday I'll visit SVC for these minor corrections.Originally posted by Ashwin93 View PostBro hold your clutch fully and shift gears, and after 500 kms once the bike starts adapting your way of shifting it will be smoother than what you expect!! Ride safe !! Congrats on your new bike!!
But i got to say the thump thump is awesome. Pickup is mind blowing.
I have a lot of speed breakers on my route and i feel like getting thrown around on uneven roads and pot holes. Should i adjust the suspension? If so which side?

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
If your right foot pains.. Dont put it on the rear brake all the way.. Keep it on the leg rest... I too used to have it as i used rear braking to stop.. But then switched to front braking n now I dont keep it on the rear brake..Originally posted by benryu View PostIt's my first time driving with this kind of gear. I drive like 20km to office and my foot is aching badly. And i have same issue with headlight its focusing on somewhere above lol.
If your left foot is paining then i suggest lubing the gears..
I too travel 22 kms to my college.. Never had any pain other than that rear braking one..
Also ask your Svc to lower the headlamp.. As i did.. It will solve the issue

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Bro it's a fine tuned suspension if you adjust it smoothly it will be to soft small windings of road will cause problems if you tune it at a firmer side it will turn stiff just leave it as it is just slow down the speed for initial kms !! If the problem exists then tune the suspension to a bit softer side!!Originally posted by benryu View PostYup i hold full clutch. Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Yes big toe. Since I'm not used to this type of gear. I'm trying to place my foot in the middle and shift gears. Also should i sit close to the petrol tank or as far as possible? What's the ideal sitting position/posture for a 5'11 guy?Originally posted by EthanReddington View PostMiddle of the foot..
Toes!!! [emoji15] [emoji37]... I always wear boots or shoes.. Sometimes chappal or belt shoes

Tighten it.. I too use both brakes.. But only when there's emergencyOriginally posted by benryu View PostOkies. My back brake seems useless actually.. I'm used to using both brakes so i can't avoid using back brake. I'm not in town this week. So only next weekend i can visit the SVC.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
All of the issues that u have mentioned is known and present in this bike.Originally posted by benryu View PostIt's my first time driving with this kind of gear. I drive like 20km to office and my foot is aching badly. And i have same issue with headlight its focusing on somewhere above lol.
1. Smell from bike after riding a short distance - I had it and its gone after few days.
2. Hard gear shift - if u go through this thread almost everyone complained about it. I didn't complain to SVC, but I am trying with different engine oils. It's a bit better now.
3. Head light - mine is still lighting up the skies. You can tell SVC to adjust the headlamp, you can do it too. It's in the manual.
There is a few things the SVC tend to do in 1st service.
1. They tend to change the AFR ratio to lean, which will reduce pick up.... But may give better mileage. If you like the current setup ask them not to change it.
2. They also increase the idle RPM to 1.5 or 1.75 k, tell them not to meddle with it either.
Immediately after first service, my indicator buzzer didn't work...its was because of their water wash...a little while later it started working. Otherwise the service was OK.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Don't do that bro.. That will definitely hurt you.. Place the middle of the toe under the gear so that ur foot fingers move freely..Originally posted by benryu View PostYes big toe. Ah! i see u r of same my height.. I sit a little far from the tank.. But while riding sometimes i go back further from the tank..

Don't use indicator buzzers.. They will kill it..[emoji37] [emoji21]Originally posted by kannanmr16 View PostAll of the issues that u have mentioned is known and present in this bike.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
I find it sleeker than FZ in some angles, and especially with the tank scooped at left and rightOriginally posted by EthanReddington View PostCongrats bro!
Headlight issue i too had.. Went to svc n they lowered it and its all good now..
Sleek?[emoji19]
I find it more muscular than Fz..Even the reviews say so.. And the rear is a lot better than others.. Especially that boring look of fz n pulsar 200 ns..
In the image below you can easily see gixxer is sleeker than FZ
The instrument cluster has Eco and Power modes which are not visible by default and not advertised by the company much. Power means a lightning bolt while economy shows the Eco sign. Both these signs fall below the gear indicatorOriginally posted by benryu View PostWhere is the eco and power indicator?
If you see the image below you can notice the lightning bolt sign during startup
