Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Yup I've read the common problems. My bike idles at 1250 now and I'll tell them not to touch this.. If they change the AFR ratio and i get better mileage I'll be ok. But if that screws up then God save me. Let me drive the 750km and then decide.Originally posted by kannanmr16 View Post

Sleek as you mean longer? Cause thats what i understand.. Else fz has less muscles..Originally posted by htsrinivas546 View Post
I find it sleeker than FZ in some angles, and especially with the tank scooped at left and right
In the image below you can easily see gixxer is sleeker than FZ

The instrument cluster has Eco and Power modes which are not visible by default and not advertised by the company much. Power means a lightning bolt while economy shows the Eco sign. Both these signs fall below the gear indicator
If you see the image below you can notice the lightning bolt sign during startup

I try to sit at the far end where the seat turns upward. But during driving i get pushed in front lol and i have to keep adjusting.Originally posted by EthanReddington View PostDon't do that bro.. That will definitely hurt you.. Place the middle of the toe under the gear so that ur foot fingers move freely..
Ah! i see u r of same my height.. I sit a little far from the tank.. But while riding sometimes i go back further from the tank..

Lightning bolt sign is for rpm indicator blink mode. It says in the manual.Originally posted by htsrinivas546 View Post

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Even if you get poor mileage, but better ride quality and no issues then do not ask them to change your AFR. It'll be end of the good days for you and your bike. AFR setting is complex than just a screw. It needs proper adjustment and many SVCs don't do it right. Just mention them that you get good mileage and ask them not to touch that. Ride happilyOriginally posted by kannanmr16 View Post1. They tend to change the AFR ratio to lean, which will reduce pick up.... But may give better mileage. If you like the current setup ask them not to change it.
Ouch, that's a bad idea.
Immediately after first service, my indicator buzzer didn't work...its was because of their water wash...a little while later it started working. Otherwise the service was OK.

Congrats, and I was forced to ask you this question out of curiosity. After riding a bullet, apart from RE vibrations, haven't you ever felt this bike is heavily underpowered?. No offense, because RE bikes are very high in torque and will instantly lift you in the air upon twisting the throttle (I'm referring to CL350 here from my experience). Have ridden CL350 few a times and have felt my bike underpowered (I mean torque and not top speed or acceleration).Originally posted by htsrinivas546 View Posthello all,
Got my Gixxer dual-tone delivered on 16th of sept. I ride a Bullet from the last 13yrs, so coming from that bike, this bike feels pure bliss. No vibrations and super smooth engine and good pick up. I have retained the bullet and will restore it fully in the next three months and use it on weekends. Gixxer will be for weekdays and city driving.
Anyway wishing many more miles. Ride safe.

How to change the suspension settings?Originally posted by Ashwin93 View PostBro it's a fine tuned suspension if you adjust it smoothly it will be to soft small windings of road will cause problems if you tune it at a firmer side it will turn stiff just leave it as it is just slow down the speed for initial kms !! If the problem exists then tune the suspension to a bit softer side!!
Haven't tried... Just for trying.

Indicator buzzer ??? Are you guys talking about SF ??Originally posted by kannanmr16 View PostAll of the issues that u have mentioned is known and present in this bike.
1. Smell from bike after riding a short distance - I had it and its gone after few days.
2. Hard gear shift - if u go through this thread almost everyone complained about it. I didn't complain to SVC, but I am trying with different engine oils. It's a bit better now.
3. Head light - mine is still lighting up the skies. You can tell SVC to adjust the headlamp, you can do it too. It's in the manual.
There is a few things the SVC tend to do in 1st service.
1. They tend to change the AFR ratio to lean, which will reduce pick up.... But may give better mileage. If you like the current setup ask them not to change it.
2. They also increase the idle RPM to 1.5 or 1.75 k, tell them not to meddle with it either.
Immediately after first service, my indicator buzzer didn't work...its was because of their water wash...a little while later it started working. Otherwise the service was OK.
Coz done my 1st servicing and I don't have any indicator buzzer

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Its not given by default in any bike... U have to put it manually afterwards... But they do damage to the bulb.. Not advised to put..Originally posted by bama_boy View PostIndicator buzzer ??? Are you guys talking about SF ??
