Due to wind pressure on the top of the helmet, the helmet always tends to lift up, more than a normal helmet, creating strain on the neck after high speed highway riding for long durations.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
The biggest problem I have with cheaper off road helmets for city/highway riding is buffeting at high speeds and the fact that the helmet is never as a aerodynamic as a full face normal helmet.Originally posted by Hitesh100 View Post

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Hello Everyone,
till now i read so many reviews and seen so many video's about this great bike GIXXER 155. Based on these reviews i finally decided to buy this bike. Initially i wanted to buy FZ-S version 2.0. But after googleing reviews of GIXXER and FZ-S ver 2.0 decided to buy GIXXER. Even I am very Thank full to This thread.
But guys have a small doubt. As i read in few long terms reviews, ppl saying hard gear shift problems and quality of plastics used. Is this true? I know, here there are owners who completed nearly 7K or above odd KM's. So can those owners post there summarized review about there bike(like, Compere your present condition of bike with the initial days bike).
Thank you.

I have only wonderful experience to share.
I with my friend (weight around 70 kg each) started at 2.00 AM first stop at Una about 140 kms at 6.00 AM (hill area so the average speed was around 35 kms/h highest speed was 70-75 kms/hr in plane areas (but stress which mountain slopes give to engine are far stressing than 80 kms/hr in plane), second stop Mandi at 11.00 PM (the road was very-very dangerous and in bad conditions, if anyone has been in Rohtang pass believe me that road is nothing in front of this) arrived Manali at 3.00 PM (total travel time about 13 hours which i thought around 6 hrs with average speed of about 50 kms/hr after stoppages). Total distance at mountains was about 350 kms.
Changed route while returning and this route contained about 300 kms on mountains so total and that because of those 50 kms less we were able to complete the distance by 11 hrs.
4000 kms on my odo and i have completed 2 long rides 1000 and 1500 kms each (both on hill stations).
My 4th service costed 470/- (290/- for engine oil, 70/- for fuel injector, 30/- for chain lubrication, 60 /- for air filters and rest i don't remember).
Economy during this trip was about 28-30 kms/l, economy in city riding is about 40-50 kms/l (i rarely check economy because i drive max 2-3 kms a day and during long rides mileage doesn't matter much but engine condition and time schedule matters).
Happy riding.
