Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Aaah it was a nice experience for me. I wont make this mistake after this :P And I have to thank my parents because they're backing me up with my decision. And yes, this time I have to make proper decisions for life. I didn't want to get down from the bike after the test drive :P And yes, I feel I could ve bought my RTR in January like my parents suggested. I was in a hurry, didn't test ride too! So yes I will have to live with the loss of money. But I feel lucky that its just money that is kind of affordable at this stage. only constraint is that I have to finish my exams properly :P very hard you knoww :POriginally posted by satyajitrc View Post

Please provide your inputs. I like driving stance of Gixxer because I will be using bikes only in city (Delhi). That too max 0-20kms stretch.
I just have few doubts in my mind. Unicorn 160 have better pillion comfort, better mileage and better after sale and service.
80-90% bike will be used by me only. Only some time with pillion.
So which bike makes sense for me , kindly suggest .
Thanks,
Get the gixxer

unicorn may offer marginally better mileage and better pillion comfort, but that should be least of your concern as you will not he riding more than 20-30kms..

Hi Satson,Originally posted by SatSon View PostActually, this can be done without drilling holes. You can just use feviquick and paste the mud flap. Ensure that you clean the mudguard thoroughly before this so that there won't be any dirt.
Where did you buy XL Super front mud flap have any one tried duke hugger on Gixxer

I don't remember which bike's flap it was. Just checked in spares shop and ensured that it fits in properly in the mudguard before buying.Originally posted by ra8ul View PostHi Satson,

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Yesterday I taken out the excess oil by loosening the oil filter cap & then started the bike. Oil started gushing out from the gap between the cap. Exactly removed 200 ml of oil. Now its superfine.Originally posted by Dynamo View PostOk. Excess oil may damage the oil seal's & internal parts. But can i drain the excess from my above procedure.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Ok I have a question , I have been riding gixxer for 3-4 month ,I always wear full face helmet so never heard the loud grunt of my gixxer but when ever I vroom past the fellow motorist at 70kmph , I see people looking at me .So either gixxer has more noise( exhaust grunt sound) or I am too handsome
.
I feel gixxer has more exhaust sound than apache .

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
hi all
need help. chain of my bike has become tight from one point but is loose from three other points(4 points total)...whats the reason behind this. svc guy has no clue about it.
bike has done around 9500 kms.
also
i used HID headlight which was great but after 2 months of use its intensity decreased. after that i tried LED projector but it sucks. I even tried Philips 60/55 premium vision but no improvement over the stock headlight. did someone try philips diamond vision white? please suggest a good light modification.

I have tried it on my Splendor, and its there for around 10 years now.
Thanks for the heads up! I'd prefer stowing my Gixxer in the monsoons now

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
I'm also driving my gixxer for past 3 months. From my notice you can hear the sweet grunt only after riding some 10-15 kms. Actually you can feel the exhaust grunt if you sit on the pillion. Yes the exhaust sound of gixxer is more compared to Apache bcoz gixxer is having twin hole exhaust.Originally posted by Hitesh100 View PostOk I have a question , I have been riding gixxer for 3-4 month ,I always wear full face helmet so never heard the loud grunt of my gixxer but when ever I vroom past the fellow motorist at 70kmph , I see people looking at me .So either gixxer has more noise( exhaust grunt sound) or I am too handsome

But the unicorn actually has a 0.5sec advantage to a 100, but once past 100, its gixxy all the way again.

Congrats Satu! A drive to Hampi this winter after I am back? What say?Originally posted by satyajitrc View PostThanks BHPians for your help and insights.
Yes the Gixxer comes home and definitely enjoying it
Some good samaritan came and saw my Two month Old White Suzuki Swish on 01-May-2015 evening.
Offered me the price, paid in cash and rode the vehicle away.
Had a brief discussion with the Home Minister and worked out the funds and vehicle colour.
Next day went to the Suzuki Showroom and paid the amount and picked the Gixxer on 02-May-2015.
Transferred 93000 INR on road including Crash Guard, Polishing et all.
Yes my first Non White vehicle after a very long time and really enjoying the Ride.
Feels really at home and the throttle response is extremely addictive.
Riding Gears
Helmet: Studds Shifter D1N4 for 2000 INR
Gloves: Scoyco MC12 gifted by friend from Kolkata
Jacket: Shift Triton Storm Jacket from US (Four years Old)
