This is a marketing technique that every company follows to woo customers. I got a call from TVS on purchase of my new bike, direct from its head office. But nothing seemed to happen after my feedback :P my friends who got gixxer get the same call. they feel they're being attended but after 3rd service the SVC started ditching them :P Its just like a company calling you and bugging untimely when you get a quotation of their product and are willing to buy :P Even Hero does this, Bajaj and Honda too :P Don't get carried away, my friend :P Just be hopeful that your consecutive visits to SVC are answered properly to your satisfaction :P

Thanks for your suggestions anyway.

ID:	1911399 Today I took the bike to steep hills of Mussoorie, With a pillion on back seat 155 cc felt inadequate. on steep inclination 2nd gear was inadequate and on 1st gear it felt too much torque ,felt like the bike will do a wheelie if pull throttle without a precaution. At 'George everest' finally enjoyed the cool winds in this summer heat .

            Waterproof? Must be water resistant.
I want to apply screen guard as well. Don't know where to get it.

Yes it is waterproof. Day before yesterday My bike was standing on the open in heavy rain for full night. For scratch guard you can buy universal size mobile screen guard for just Rs.30 & then you can take measurement of the console & cut it.

Doesn't that make it water resistant?[emoji1]
                Will get the mobile guard.

Hi guys . I have a doubt about our Gixxy. I have driven about 1000 kms on my Gixxer.. Is it compulsory for the bike to be revved often upto 7000 rpm? I'M worried because my mileage dropped from 48 kmpl to 40 kmpl when I started to drive it upto 7000 rpm

                      Don't go for HID's.
                      Hi Sandeep,
How long have you been using the Extreme Vision continuously?
Are there any heating issues on Lens and reflector since this is the biggest concern at times.
Also is the Extreme Vision direct fit or some modification is required.

Nowadays all H4 are slowly getting replaced with HS1.
Since have not seen on a naked eye difficult to gauge.

Can anyone tell me whether HS1 55/60 Watt available from Osram or Philips or Bosch
34567 kms and ZMR sold :(

HS1 and H4 are both same. Only the clip,at times, needs to be folded flat for fitting. Original branded bulbs have low heat generation compared to locally made one but the effect can be seen only after a long time.

Cheap electronics buddy. You can't rely on it that much. Get used to it or get it replaced under warranty from SVC. After all its a small bike and thats all company would give with it.

Thanks John for the clarification. Yes heat generation is an issue and also depends on continuous usage as well.
As a matter of fact my earlier ZMR used a Osram NB for Three Years without any issue.
But there were bubbles in one of friends ZMA during the same time (bought simultaneously)
On the other hand it did not happen in the earlier ZMA used by another friend.

Hence the query since at times manufacturers go on cost cutting mode and end up ruining our pockets

It is just a normal screen guard for a tablet. I cut it according to the shape of our speedometer console and applied. Unless it is pressure washed there will be no problem.

I have been using extreme vision from 3 or 4 months I guess.(you can find the date of my post for the exact period).
I did not find any overheating issues with the reflector until now. I didn't do any long night time journeys to judge the heat thing. But there was no problem using 55/60 in my unicorn, so there will be no ill effect with Gixxer also. Even if the reflector fades after 2 years I will be OK with it and replace the reflector, because Lighting is important to me.
There are no HS1 55/60 bulb in the market. In philips website there is one HS1 all weather bulb, but I didn't see it anywhere in the market. And H4's are not getting replaced with HS1's.
