Iam facing an Issue today , while riding if I accelerate more than 50-60 km/h the bike tends to loose power felt like it will switch off but behave normally of I reduce the accelerator . I feel there is an issue with my carb due to fuel blockage .

Check for any blockage near the suction port.Originally posted by Hitesh100 View PostIam facing an Issue today , while riding if I accelerate more than 50-60 km/h the bike tends to loose power felt like it will switch off but behave normally of I reduce the accelerator . Headlight can be replaced, Head cannot be. Wear a helmet.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Its quite natural. Bcoz of new engine, tyre etc. Mileage will come in poor figures in the initial kms. Don't drive beyond 4.5k rpm. Check for any black smoke from exhaust with bit hard rev in neutral. Also check reserve to reserve method for exact 1 litre of petrol.Originally posted by SKt12 View PostI filled 10ltrs while purchase Now sitting at 2 bars with 290 KM on Odo .... Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Did the bike not accelerate past 75kmph/5500RPM? This was the issue I faced when I purchased and I asked for Carb replacement which the service center did. In neutral RPM touched 10K but while riding it didn't go past 5500.Originally posted by Hitesh100 View PostIam facing an Issue today , while riding if I accelerate more than 50-60 km/h the bike tends to loose power felt like it will switch off but behave normally of I reduce the accelerator . Not really long trips..you can cruise at 85kmph without feling any stress on the engine. Past 85kmph the engine vibrates a little until 95kmph(Rear View Mirror becomes unclear).Originally posted by srinath2494 View PostDid anyone try long highway trips on your gixxer? Stability issues mainly depends on the ROAD Tarmac. But no stability issues until 105kmph. On sandy roads(esp sand on cement roads) stability becomes independent of speed
.
yes there is windblast.
Anyone noticed Mileage at highspeeds? I am getting 39kmpl at 70~90kmph and 33kmpl at 100~115kmph.
Also my city mileage is 46+ but my highway mileage never exceeded 47~48kmpl.
I've already asked this question, Please reply. Thank you.Last edited by sandeepcf; 03-20-2015, 09:42 PM.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
I've not tried in my gixxer but 2 weeks back I've been to Pondicherry on my friend's gixxer. Its simply superb. With pillion we reached max 108 kmph. Drive was pleasant, no body pain at all. Even no vib @ high speeds. But bit uncomfortable in long journey for those who sit in pillion.Originally posted by srinath2494 View PostHey,

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
I wish to know the cruising ability at 90kmph to 100kmph without a pillion for quite long stretches when the roads open up. Also how is the stability cruising at such speeds when there are crosswinds? And due to upright riding position, does the windblast make it a bad experience?Originally posted by Dynamo View PostI've not tried in my gixxer but 2 weeks back I've been to Pondicherry on my friend's gixxer. Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
My bike easily gives 50-55 mileage in city and on highway cruising at 70-110 kmph it gave 50 and driving till 80 kmph gave me 58 kmpl..Originally posted by sandeepcf View PostDid the bike not accelerate past 75kmph/5500RPM? Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
That will take you another 200-210 kms toughly.Originally posted by SKt12 View PostI filled 10ltrs while purchase Now sitting at 2 bars with 290 KM on Odo .... Feeling that Fuel efficiency is low...What do you people think???
Steady riding its possible.
Run in time I got ~45-46 kmpl..

I still feel the steady cruising limit of the bike is at 80..although you can go easily past in short burst.
Been at 100 a couple times, and each time 80 was no issue. Its after that things become VERY SLIGHTLY unsteady.
Its the optimum speed to ride at I feel.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Didn't tried without pillion but engine doesn't look like sluggish below 90kmph but engine feel stressed above 90 kmph. U can easily pass through such crosswinds. Bike's main advantage is aerodynamic body & weight. Wind doesn't push u in side wards.Originally posted by srinath2494 View PostI wish to know the cruising ability at 90kmph to 100kmph without a pillion for quite long stretches when the roads open up. Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Its completely opposite in my case. It goes to neutral wen I try to shift from 1 to 2 or vice versa though vehicle ia running. Ideally it should not happen. Wherher someone knows what could be the pblm??Originally posted by pradeepa View PostIt is normal for me on my Pulsar 200 DTSI.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Since you tried that with pillion, I would take that alone it could feel more grunty doing 90 kmph speeds. I was blown away by the way it felt planted on road when I rode it, but it was in traffic and couldn't explore the bike's ability.Originally posted by Dynamo View PostDidn't tried without pillion but engine doesn't look like sluggish below 90kmph but engine feel stressed above 90 kmph. My bike does this when the engine oil needs tp be replaced. Check if engine oil is good..Originally posted by Vijay007 View PostIts completely opposite in my case.
