I've also got low mileage & very poor than you. I got only 30 kmpl till 650 kms. But now it has increased to 40-45 kmpl. Visit ur scv & check emission & don't suggest them to tune carburetor. Bcoz factory setting is the best till 1000 kms on the odo. Also change the petrol pump to shell. Do check ur spark plug color. Low mileage is purely bcoz of petrol pumps & cheating in quantity. My suggestion is buy petrol in 1 litre bisleri bottle & fill it in exact reserve then check.Just follow my shadow.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Could you please provide a link to an article or video from this press conference?Originally posted by rockin.pavanr View PostYup they had asked these questions......But implementation is in their hands!......They won't change the specs so soon and mess up the current market share!......It will take atleast a year to come with a next facelift after rigorous testing as Development of Gixxer had taken 2 years!.....Gixxer SLK wiil be priced 2-5k lower than the Yamaha Fazer!.....Even the GS150R production has been stopped...I think they will be porting the Gixxer's engine to the GS150R...which they had already indicated in the press conference...Hope it retains the 6 speed gearbox!
Thanks!

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Hello Gentlemen!
Just joined the forum, as I'm about to buy my first new bike (Have a fair amount of riding experience, but have always had only the hand-me-downs of older cousins and siblings.)
My heart is set on the Gixxer, with just one qualm - the service network of suzuki in Delhi. Can any fellow member from Delhi give me pointers in that direction?
I took my test ride at Bittoo Suzuki, Lajpat Nagar, and the attitude of the personnel was quite frankly, disappointing. There was another fellow, out to buy a GSXR-1300, the same time as me, and the sales person indirectly refered to him a good few times to make us feel like small fish. Do you know a dealer who treats poorer customers better? How about the After sale experience in Delhi so far?

Sorry to hear that man. Can't speak for Delhi, but here in bangalore, at least my dealer was courteous and eager to show the bike to me, like its his pride and joy. In fact had to test on 2 separate occasions.Originally posted by soaham View PostHello Gentlemen!

Only thing I can say is visit as many diff. dealers as you can and settle on o e you like.
Also break your head over a.s.s(after sales service). This is a make or break product for suzuki,. Hence a serious directive to all dealers to do a good job. I have had 0 issues..but even the people here who have had got it re placed instantly
Gosh...what a wall of text. Bottom line....just get the bike eyes closed...you won't regret it![emoji2]

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
As has been discussed before...this is a purely subjective area.Originally posted by rohanblade View PostGuys finally booked THE GIXXER 155, will be delivered by next friday. But my only confusion is with regards to the color, i find all the shades exciting but leaning towards red and white. suggestions will be appreciated
Blue is unanimous decision of best looker.
After that I find myself leaning towards the black then red.
Personally I find the white too high contrast, and feel the lines of the bike get washed out. So..
Its your call bro..

Purely subjective. Mine is blue. But given a choice between red and white, i would suggest white...its distinct.Originally posted by rohanblade View PostGuys finally booked THE GIXXER 155, will be delivered by next friday. We started from Kochi at 6:45 am. My friend on RE Thunderbird 350 and me on my Suzuki Gixxer 155. We covered 210 kms approx (i.e., total 420 kms up and down). No pillion and no luggage.
About 100kms into the trip, the high ranges started. Though i had doubts, once the incline started, the tone and tenor of the bike changed and it was just gulping the hills...open the throttle and the bike leaps up.
Instead of sitting upright, one can slightly slide back and lean forward. (The seat is so designed that its like a bucket seat) The bike would surge forward and the 'push' is felt on the butts...
Climbing the hills has never been so easy. The tyres have more than sufficient grip and i have never felt more confident. By the time i reached 5500 MSL, the exhaust note of the bike changed to a muffled grunt...sweet!! It was as if the bike was craving for more...
I was riding mostly on 3rd and 4th gears...occasionally came down to 2nd...but the bike never felt under-powered.
Descenting the hills was the highlight of the trip. Descented mostly on 4th gear...the bike was precise at the bends and curves. Used both the front and back for breaking...there was a chiseling sound coming from the front disc, but went away after a few hard breakings.
Handling the bike was the best part. There are no vibrations felt on the handlebars. Rock solid.. It doesn't tire you.
I just leaned forward on the tank and let the bike roll down the hill... It was truly awesome.
The trip meter was very helpful, knew exactly how much the bike returned. Tried reserve to reserve method - the bike returned 53 kms/ltr approx.
The bike had completed 2nd service, but still I maintained the rpm below 4k and speed between 50-55. (Hence the mileage)
The only flip slide is the dirt splash from the front tyre. The dirt splashes on to the engine and also makes your boots dirty. Need to find a solution without affecting the looks.
Secondly, i wished the headlight could have been a bit brighter.
Hope this helps you...
