It's not sep technology no where related to it ..
There is passage not jet near cams to keep them lubricated all the time not just when revved hard .. Plus theres no leakage from valve .. If that was the case you'll see blueish smoke from exhaust ..
This type of lubrication is present in each and every engine ..
As for tak tak noise it generally the exhaust and engine being cooled after a long or hot ride .. Again not related to tappets ..
All air cooled engines make this noise when they are shut off as the temps are dropping ..
Apart from that exhaust also makes noise most of the time .. Because as we know metal expand or contract when subjected to varying levels of temp ..

4:00 to 4:20...well this is the jet system I have been talking about. I think mechanics have only limited articulating skills but better working skills and they don't open and show the engine everytime.
PS: I am not laughing/yelling/mocking at anyone now.

Re: Rear Tyre Hugger for Gixxer
In the powerdrift review they have mentioned that the Gixxer SF's fuel efficiency is 47kmpl compared to the naked Gixxer's 40kmpl. It also has a slightly higher top speed that the naked one. Is due to the fact that the Gixxer SF's aerodynamic body work is extensively wind-tunnel tested that gives it an edge over the Naked Gixxer?.Originally posted by srinath2494 View Post4:00 to 4:20...well this is the jet system I have been talking about. Buddy I think you must be krishna prasath who posted the same comment on the video on youtube :P I think you got your answer there :P anyway, once again its here :P
" The only thing lacking in that collection is the mighty Shaolin. Can we steal the AX? Oh we mean can we lay our non-stealing hands on the AX?
+Krishna Prasath Wow! That is a delectable line up you have there mate! Envy! :PYes, the SF has undergone wind tunnel testing like we have shown in the review & the higher top speed is due to the aerodynamic body of the SF. Spot on there! P.S. Our editors just sported a mile long grin there!

Suzuki Gixxer 155 Oil Change
Friends,
Have a quick question to you all regarding change of Engine Oil.
Done around 327 Kms till day and first Service is Post 750 Kms.
Should I go for an Oil Change and use Shell Advance AX5 in 10W40 Grade.
How is the performance of the Oil in daily City use.
Please NOTE that I prefer changing Oils at an interval of 1200 Kms on regular use.
During my ZMR days used Mobil1 Synthetic Oil at an interval of 2000-2500 Kms.
Thanks In Advance
34567 kms and ZMR sold :(

Suzuki Gixxer 155
hi
completed 10300 km on my gixxer. till now it has been an absolute pleasure to drive this bike. nice throttle response, good breaks smooth engine and above all this bike is so much curve friendly. you can bend it like a sports bike on the track and it will hold its ground without any problem. i have driven through some of the valleys in high speed and never felt underconfident in handling the bike. comfortable for long trips also.
however recently i have faced one problem. i wonder if anyone can help. my bike's chain is tight at one spot and loose at rest of the spots. it is also making a hissing noise while driving at one spot. i think this noise is coming from chain. this noise started after 1st servicing but svc guy said its normal. but now the sound has increased and chain produces kat kat sound sometimes. i wonder whether it is because the sprockets are not aligned properly or any other issue which has led to uneven wearing of chains. can anyone help me on this issue? do i have to change chain and sprockets?

You can go for AX5 eyes closed. It's a pure mineral oil and good for 1200 to 1400 km of B2B city use.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
1. 10k kms is too less a service period even for a roller chain, O-Ring'd ones should last longer with minimum upkeep. 2. Does it sounds same say after riding for few kms? 3. Have they worn out against specifications?Originally posted by ravik View Postcompleted 10300 km on my gixxer. my bike's chain is tight at one spot and loose at rest of the spots. it is also making a hissing noise while driving at one spot. i think this noise is coming from chain. do i have to change chain and sprockets?~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
10k does seem to be a bit early. Did you clean and lubricate the chain properly? Kat kat noise occurs mostly due to misaligned sprockets and tight chain. But it should go after a few hundred kms even if uncared for. Uneven wear is mostly due to overtightened chain and sprocket wear. Check sprocket alignment and clean and lubricate chain and adjust slackness and then check for noise. The chain on my bike(p180) is at 15k kms and still has around 5k-10k kms left in it. So gixxer should have better chain life if maintained properly.Originally posted by ravik View Posthowever recently i have faced one problem. i wonder if anyone can help. my bike's chain is tight at one spot and loose at rest of the spots. it is also making a hissing noise while driving at one spot. i think this noise is coming from chain. this noise started after 1st servicing but svc guy said its normal. but now the sound has increased and chain produces kat kat sound sometimes. i wonder whether it is because the sprockets are not aligned properly or any other issue which has led to uneven wearing of chains. can anyone help me on this issue? do i have to change chain and sprockets?
