Hey,

I am awaiting my gixxer blue color! Since I am going for a scooter along with it, I was informed that my paper works will be completed by wednesday and I will get the delivery in 4-5days following that! I am a customer at pramaan suzuki, adambakkam as it is closer to my house. Other suzuki showrooms I know which are good are SMK suzuki, porur and ABT suzuki, nandanam. When I enquired, I got to know that the other two showrooms have quick availability and lesser processing time. But I am lazy to go that far :P :P Anyway I like this biting-my-nails-eagerly phase again for my second bike :P

Hello fellas. I wanted a piece of advice.
My Gixxer is due for its 3rd servicing on 11th of this month. Now my exams are ending on 15th and then I have planned for a long road trip to my native. I guess that will add another week. Since I have not covered the stated KMs for the 3rd servicing I was thinking of getting it done after returning from the trip.
Will this void my warranty in any way?

Talk to your service centre n schedule an appointment for 16th. Get the service done before your trip to native place. I don't know about warranty details ..it won't be so strictly followed

If your native has a suzuki showroom and service centre, you can reach there and get it done.

Hi Vatsal Jaiswal

Where you reside in Chennai ? I bought from PRAMAAN MOTORS nanganallur. I suggest you to buy from your nearest scv. Anyway if anything goes wrong you can complain to Suzuki & they are really responding without any delay. I paid full cash but I didn't get any freebies. But I paid only Rs.450 for crash bar but they are selling for Rs.900. Some scv's offer Teflon coating. But don't expect any cash discount from any scv's. Heavy booking is going on also Recently I'm seeing many gixxer's in Chennai.

These are the few Suzuki showrooms i know in Chennai.
Pramaan Motors- nanganallur

SMK Suzuki - porur
Roonwal Suzuki - sowcarpet

It isn't that I am not getting time to do it. Its just that I wanted to do it after the trip so that all problems faced while on the trip, if any, can be checked during the service. Also I won't have to clean it again after the trip. The bike will remain tip-top longer.

tell this to the service center and they will give a delayed date. it is possible to delay it but they should be informed. Also you an get it serviced from somewhere else i.e. from a local shop and can submit the bill to them so that they can consider it as a service done by svc. this info was given by the showroom from where i bought my gixxer. please confirm once.

As far I know they r not selling higher than OTR price. Here is the details of mine.
When I was buying the OTR price is 85971/- the breakup is

bike ex showroom price 77772/-
life tax 6221/-
registration charges 510/-
insurance ( Icici ) 1468/-
total 85971/- plus accessories.

I bought foot rest for Rs.200 & crash bar for Rs.900 ( but paid only Rs.450 ) number plate for Rs. 300 & fitting charges Rs. 150 ( but I didn't pay not even 1 rupee). For RTO inspection, crash bar & number plate is mandatory that's y i paid for number plate & crash bar or else I tried from pudupet or GP road.

When I decided to buy gixxer I also enquired in Jain's,SMK & ABT SUZUKI for price but all quoted same price. As for the breakup.

Rear Tyre Hugger for Gixxer

Hi Guys,

I am about to buy Gixxer but skeptical since my friends gixxer is drenched in mud when it rains. Like to know if we can fix rear Tyre hugger for gixxer.

Also let me know owners experience in Gixxer while riding in rain.

Just 2 days back I changed my bike oil from the scv where I bought. Today I found there is some excess oil. But scv person told that no problem. I think it should be 100-200 ml. I don't want drain entire oil, can I marginally unscrew the oil filter cap & then start the bike so that oil will pump out from the filter. Once the excess is removed I can easily tight the bolt. Will anything go wrong ?

Its just sunday and I have to wait till wednesday to finally see my blue gixxer. Its so tempting and I was never like this even for my first bike! I can't wait till wednesday!
