      Mileage update: Tested twice recently.
46kmpl on riding at speeds above 80 at highways and frequent accelerations and breaking at city riding.
Desperate to test at speeds of 60, similar to what I had done during run in but can't stop the wrist :banghead:

That's really low. Few things that I am NOT doing yet but used to do with my earlier pulsar 150 (still used to give 40kmpl) are:
Rev till almost max before upshift.
Downshift after every break to get pick up.

Suggest you to control the temptation for two days just for sake of testing the mileage. Ride as gentle as you can and check the mileage. This would give you better picture if the mileage is low because of riding style or if bike really needs service.

Am sure you would have reported such mileage to service centre by now, if not, please do and get them do the mileage test after service.

There is nothing called a 2015 version! If you are asking about bikes made in January 2015, it is too soon to expect that in dealerships across the country now as we have just completed 3 days in January.

5 days ago I checked with a dealer and he had stocks from end of November and mid December. So Janaury made bikes should arrive in dealerships somewhere by end of January or first week of February depending on how quickly they sell out of existing stocks.

And you will definitely feel the bumps on the road through your wrists. The Gixxer on the other hand just glides over everything like its nothing.Steering angle is almost like a bicycle's. The suspension setup is amazing. Miles ahead of the CBR 250R even. I can't believe the NS is praised so much for so little. I too would fall for this if not for the TD.

This is my honest opinion guys.
While this is your honest opinion you should also consider the level of your riding. Indeed gixxer was released for everyone to ride and not all can ride a 200ns or a duke. And regarding the turning angle, it isn't as worse as you say or as your honest opinion is considered. It'll be a pain only if you stop and turn at a 'U' turn. Even then it wouldn't be as worse as you describe hitting the footpath. Trust me, it solely depends on the rider's skill and I have even seen people turning it in very tight places where usually cycles are the best. From the middle of the road you do not 'steer' the bike into 'U' turns. With a proper speed you slightly lean it by applying pressure on the handle bar which comes with time and experience. It is definitely not a mess. The bumps on the road on your wrists 'maybe' an issue with that specific bike. Other than that, this bike offers great feedback of what's on the road and obviously riders who are skillfully grown will like that kind of a setup. That one brother, is for pure enthusiasts. And as human psychology goes, once you set your heart and mind on a product, you would feel its the ultimate heaven.

                  Guys,

How does the bike perform during corners?? Is the bike stable beyond 100kmph? Need your suggestions since one of my friend is planning to buy within next week.

I saw this machine running near Nandanam signal @ chennai , the red rear led light attracted me and i thought its fz v2.0 but once when i had a close view of it at the signal , i was amazed and stood close to close at the signal and once the signal turned green , i felt the roar of beast , the rider drove it in a manner that made an impression to have a review at this beast.

The very next day saw a new black gixxer standing in my office parking lot, had a 360^degree to admire at its beauty

and was impressed and next day i planned to visit Pramaan Suzuki showroom @ Chennai near to my area for a test drive.

They gave me a white gixxer for test drive -

I inserted the key - Saw Ready to Go in display ( Impressed me )
Then Gave a mild acceleration smooth sound
Gave a full throttle - LoL Bang Bang Bang the magical moment
Went a full stretch in the Velachery - St.Mount highway

                      Since its a test drive
i moved it in the highway and also short roads within our area and the beast is same in all conditions

Then its the enquiry time on the details of bike

                      On road Price - 83208
                      Fittings - 600
                      IND Registration - 600

I asked some queries with manager
Myself : The bike is great but i come to hear some news on the rusting problem of this bike
Manager : Its a rumor to spoil the sales
Myself : But i could see in some articles that suzuki has accepted the rusting prob and agreed to change the parts in rusted bikes and from 2015 it will provide some additional coating
Manager : If there is rusting , why the sales is Upwards sir
Myself : I want to know if there is any rusting in my owned bike , what claims can i get from you
Manager : If any issues occur in bike - we are ready to provide solutions to any problems and will help our customers since bikes are covered with warranty
Myself : Will decide and let you know whether im interested in purchase , thank you
Manager : Meet you soon for booking , welcome

                      After a week time

Went to showroom and got booked my beast without any hesitation ( Dec 26 ) , i asked for the delivery by Jan end or early Feb 2015.

Got a call today from showroom - There is a hike in excise so bike is getting added by around 2k extra in the onroad price -
                      so now its 83208 + Fittings 600 + IND Reg 600 + 2k = 86408

------------- Waiting for Jan End -----------

                      Friends

Pls Discuss about the Rusting issue in forum

It's good to hear that you've booked a great bike. Pramaan suzuki is a good dealer but I would say you could ve stopped at nandanam and gone right into ABT suzuki which is a far better dealership! :P they offer very less waiting period even for the most demanded blue color! and SMK suzuki at porur gives you in 2 days which my friend bought from! Anyway the showroom looks stacked up everyday with every color of gixxer at the display! Did you mean the inner ring road by saying velachery to mount road? I think that is not a highway. Anyway don't worry this bike will perform good on all Chennai roads if ridden properly! Congrats!

In what ways do you think ABT Suzuki is better than Pramaan Suzuki? I have test driven the Gixxer from Pramaan but I am inclined more to purchase the Gixxer from ABT since a couple of years ago we took our Swift Dzire from them and the overall experience was good. It would be good if you can pass on some contacts if you have any in the bikes section of ABT.

BTW, he is talking about the road connecting GST to Velachery, running parallel to most of the overhead MRTS tracks. A good road to test drive this beauty

Oh yeah thats the road I meant. I live close by and the road has superb terrain with a subway, cement road and some gravel surface to ride bikes with ad-rush! Anyway that isn't a highway either :P I am telling you because I was about to book gixxer as my first ride and got a test ride from ABT. Their customer care is better than pramaan which I visited too. Forget about the car dealearship. They are also pioneer since the time suzuki was launched in India as tvs-suzuki. My friend got a swish and they're treating him very well even if he goes to to ask for something very basic and that doesn't need the SVC too! The one in adayar where my friend rushed for emergency asked him to wait for a whole day. Also the showroom is brimming with customers since tvs-suzuki days and from that you can sense the loyalty of the customers there. But do try SMK suzuki at porur. They're growing very well.

I'll suggest this. Since the sales is soaring do call them up and ask over phone first for the availability of the color and waiting period before you visit. ABT gave me 2 weeks' time in November.

Hi guys I have been following this thread before and after buying my black beast gixy. I just have few things to share about extra fittings..firstly never opt for an handle grip it's stiff like stone I had it removed the next day itself. And secondly seatcover it just takes the riding comfort away for the rider. (also for pillion) it has this some kind of plastic thread at both sides right where we sit.and no one likes a seat cover which has names of shop and address over it.haha a mistake..... And I think I am getting mileage of approx 50.. And sound this beast produces its awesome... Couldn't go out at night I could barely see the road😞. And side indicator switch is really a down point it just doesn't suit my beast. Horn is not aggressive. Lot of changes to be brought. Need to think of putting some cushions for pillion.

Well,as far as riding experience is concerned, does clocking over 2500kms on a CB250R in one month count as enough experience to ride/handle the 200NS? Lol. Anyways,to each his opinion.

Anyone knows how to get rid of the rear mudguard, since one will also lose the side indicators? Any way to remove the mudguard but keep the indicators? Maybe LED strip replacements?

You see things vacationing on a motorcycle in a way that is completely different from any other. In a car you're always in a compartment, and because you're used to it you don't realize that through that car window everything you see is just more TV.
