I have done 127kmph. But to get there, you have to first redline in the 4th gear and then shift. Otherwise it won't go beyond ~118kmph.

I shifted at 9.5k when i did 120. Will try doing 127 next time by your method.

127? Seems there's a generous amount of speedo error dialled in!

Sent from my phone. Kindly avoid it while riding.

Whilst speedo errors will be there, can't they achieve such speeds with wind on their backs and on downward slopes?

Hmmm.. I think there is definitely some problem with my gixxer. You guys are easily achieving 120 plus speeds.

Just noticed that Suzuki has updated new prices of their vehicles on their website after the government's excise duty hike effective today.

Gixxer is costlier today by Rs.615/- in Bangalore and Rs.590/- in Chennai compared to last year. Not bad.

The bulb costs 600. I wont recommend this to anyone because its not value for money.we don't need mechanic to change the bulb. Just read the manual. All you need is 4mm Allen key. The bulb is a direct fit. You have to do a small mod to the bulb. H4 to hs1 mod.

Why do you not recommend? Not enough brightness?

I mean not worthy brightness compared to a 100 rupee Philips premium bulb

I had 2010 model with analog meter which was good bike at that time... and comparing to Gixxer Mono shock and wide tires, Digital display, More Pick up and no vibrations beats all other bikes...
Hunk model is stopped and resale value has already decreased and to get any spares need to wait couple of weeks...... Also please share any of your thoughts. thanks ..........
Mine is older than yours, one from the days when Hunk was launched, 2008 model.
As far as I know, Hunk is not stopped, but sales are low these days due to Gixxer, FZ and other competitors.
It shares almost all parts with Xtreme, but yes some parts are little bit difficult to source, and resale value is less.
I haven't ridden Gixxer, but from specs, reviews, members' posts here, it is a wonderful bike.

I don't think there is any problem. At my first attempt, I couldn't even get it past 90 (with a pillion, ofcourse). But then after about 600-700kms on the odo, the engine opened up and felt free. Then I could easily get past 110 with a pillion. But for that I had to redline it in each gear. You've to get maximum horsepower to obtain such topspeeds. And that way, while riding solo I manage to get 120 (and 127 only once).
Upto 100kmph, the acceleration is thrilling. Before you can pay attention to the speedo, its already above 80. But after that its an uphill task. You need to crouch and a long straight stretch of empty road to get to 120.
I agree there is speedo error of about 6-7 units. But while comparing with the same bike, it doesn't matter.

I did check on Phillips website. It shows that X-treme vision bulb is for cars. Can we fit these bulbs for bikes( not much aware of technical knowhow).

They have Weather vision headlights for bikes. It projects a distinctive orange colour. Link is Buy the Philips WeatherVision Motorcycle headlights 12342CTVB1

There is some thing strange with the roads in my place. It is NH-5 with 6 lanes. My friend's 200NS does 145kmph when going south from my place and it reaches only 122kmph going north. There is also not much wind this season. I checked my 110kmph speed going north. Will check the speed again going south. There is also not much difference in altitude/slope of the road.

Also I completed 1000kms today. I changed the oil to Total Quartz 9000. Yeah I know its a car oil, but I have an unused 1 liter bottle lying for sometime, didn't want to waste a Rs.1220/liter oil(O'course got it for 950 from dealer).

As I mentioned, the bike os not revving past 8000rpm WOT @110kmph
