We are bumping up by 1/2 PSI. It won't make a world of a difference. Do note that due to cold conditions, the air inside the tyre is already at low volume. When you ride, the tyre heats up and the volume will increase and the pressure too. Rims cannot get bent due to this low difference in pressure. A tiny increase in pressure is ok. Also, the rims of Gixxer are very sturdy. If my Duke can run at 2-2 psi more at front and rear, Gixxer can definitely do it. The bike feels a little bit more playful.

What made you choose this over 200NS? (AFAIK, that bike was on the top of your list)

              Guys...Wazzzaaa...

So as you all know I finished my 1st service on 27th. Didnt have much road space to play with so only managed 80.
Today after work I took a stupidly long route back home
Just to find some nice stretches. Finally found and floored my baby...
OH MY GOD!!! I swear iam not lying when I say this bike jumps digits by the handful on the speedo even post 90...only managed a 100 as I ran out of road space.
Not once did I feel lack of stability...and even at 100 I could feel the torque giving a beautifully sweet surge to push the engine even more....
That one stretch has totally transformed my mood ...
Now I realize it was kinda stupid as iam not supposed to cross 7500rpm till 2nd service...but I just couldn't stop myself.
This bike truly represents the next generation of 150cc bikes in India.
Bike of the year hands down!!!

I TD'd a 200NS prior to doing so on the Gixxer. It was too tall.Another thing is vibes.200NS is a 3rd class bike in my opinion. The Gixxer has ZERO vibes. Absolutely ZERO. It feels like you're levitating forward. And it is weightless compared to 200NS.

completed first service at 650 km....svc charged Rs. 485..Bike got smooth..gear shift is easy..Had a problem in 3rd gear that some vibrations..It is now gone...

The only problem now is that its became hard for the bike to climb the slops..when it comes to straight plane roads its awesome....when it comes to climb a 45˚ inclined road bike cant breath even in 2nd gear..and when a throttled tak tak sound comes from engine, may be from piston

Another thing with 200NS is the steering angle. I mean, what the hell? It steers like it has the fairing of a 1000cc superbike. Begin taking a U-Turn from the middle of the road and you are guaranteed to hit the footpath. Then reverse again and turn a little, and then move onto the road. My god what a mess. And you will definitely feel the bumps on the road through your wrists. The Gixxer on the other hand just glides over everything like its nothing.Steering angle is almost like a bicycle's. The suspension setup is amazing. Miles ahead of the CBR 250R even. I can't believe the NS is praised so much for so little. I too would fall for this if not for the TD.

This is my honest opinion guys.

Even I am traveling sholinganalur to Ascendas in that route. Don't worry about mileage for an 150cc bike.. 50 kmpl is more than enough (advice not to tune carburetor towards lean as engine smoothness will be spoiled). Mine is 110cc neo and gives 60kmpl in that traffic, the cc matters

                              Hi Friends ,

Let me share my Experience from the time of having a Glance at this Beast called Gixxer

I saw this machine running near Nandanam signal @ chennai , the red rear led light attracted me and i thought its fz v2.0 but once when i had a close view of it at the signal , i was amazed and stood close to close at the signal and once the signal turned green , i felt the roar of beast , the rider drove it in a manner that made an impression to have a review at this beast.

The very next day saw a new black gixxer standing in my office parking lot, had a 360^degree to admire at its beauty
                              1. Tank Design
                              2. Twin Exhaust
                              3. Digital Meter Display
                              4. Broad Front Forks
                              5. Tail Led Lamp
                              6. Overall Styling

and was impressed and next day i planned to visit Pramaan Suzuki showroom @ Chennai near to my area for a test drive.

They gave me a white gixxer for test drive -

I inserted the key - Saw Ready to Go in display ( Impressed me )
Then Gave a mild acceleration smooth sound
Gave a full throttle - LoL Bang Bang Bang the magical moment
Went a full stretch in the Velachery - St.Mount highway

                              Since its a test drive
i moved it in the highway and also short roads within our area and the beast is same in all conditions

Then its the enquiry time on the details of bike

                              On road Price - 83208
                              Fittings - 600
                              IND Registration - 600

I asked some queries with manager
Myself : The bike is great but i come to hear some news on the rusting problem of this bike
Manager : Its a rumor to spoil the sales
Myself : But i could see in some articles that suzuki has accepted the rusting prob and agreed to change the parts in rusted bikes and from 2015 it will provide some additional coating
Manager : If there is rusting , why the sales is Upwards sir
Myself : I want to know if there is any rusting in my owned bike , what claims can i get from you
Manager : If any issues occur in bike - we are ready to provide solutions to any problems and will help our customers since bikes are covered with warranty
Myself : Will decide and let you know whether im interested in purchase , thank you
Manager : Meet you soon for booking , welcome

                              After a week time

Went to showroom and got booked my beast without any hesitation ( Dec 26 ) , i asked for the delivery by Jan end or early Feb 2015.

Got a call today from showroom - There is a hike in excise so bike is getting added by around 2k extra in the onroad price -
                              so now its 83208 + Fittings 600 + IND Reg 600 + 2k = 86408

------------- Waiting for Jan End -----------

Pls Discuss about the Rusting issue in forum

                                Congratulations!

It is an awesome bike, you wont be disappointed.

As for the rusting, there is nothing to discuss! Zero- rust issues on my bike. As to my thoughts on this i already gave my opinion on this.
Prior to the Sep 10th launch, suzuki must have stocked up for quite a while, and must have stored in damp/moist conditions. Over this extended period, certain bikes may have developed rust. No rust issues at all in bikes after this period.
My bike's got soaked in rains twice, & apart fro mud accumulation on the mono-shock, there is nothing else for me to worry about.
